Spring Fashion

I’ve been wearing Lacoste for as long as I can remember. My dad and I would wear matching Lacoste on the tennis court and now as a busy working mom of 5, I still wear Lacoste crisp white polos with wide leg pants for date night. I love versatile pieces that can take me from tennis to date night. If you’re looking for accessible style that brings casual French luxury to your closet, Lacoste is your brand. I love their solid colors, quality fabrics, and craftsmanship that proves timeless. The solid colors are great to layer with for winter styles and are great stand-alone summer pieces for outdoor activities. Iconic sports brand with a penchant for upgraded chic, Lacoste has been around since 1933. A staggering 2 products are sold every second, can you believe? However, this didn’t happen overnight. I’ve grown up with all the trends that came in and out, and through them all Lacoste always stayed true to who they were. Who are they? A casual luxury brand embodied in French elegance who know how to craft a classic polo and trench. I’ve always been a fan of their style, quality, and dedication to the classics. After all, I’ve been wearing their metallic tennis shoes and polo shirts while playing tennis with dad with the iconic crocodile for YEARS. Today, I’m wearing Lacoste head to toe: track pants, sweatshirt, knit top, and trench coat. I love the flow of the trench and practical comfort of the tee, joggers and sweatshirt. My style secret to making joggers or track pants chicer is this: roll the ankle hem twice and pair it with heels. That’s it. The joggers show off the ankle and heels and instantly transform a sporty look into glam date night. What do you think? Click here to learn more and shop the links below for my exact outfit.

Thank you Lacoste for sponsoring this post. All opinions my own.

If you read my blog often, you’ve definitely seen me talk about Vince Camuto. It’s hands down one of my favorite brands and I’m always keeping an eye out for new things to add to my closet from them. Their footwear is something I’m especially loving right now. The designs are fashion-forward and most importantly, comfortable! I mean, how cute are these sandals I’m wearing?
Honestly, I’m often on Nordstrom online browsing their shoes and will always stop at a Vince Camuto pair not even knowing its Vince Camuto. Their styles are that good! Maybe it’s their attention to detail, colors and flattering designs that earn their fan base. I must admit I am among them. One of my favorite pairs of booties in my closet is from Vince Camuto. It has a perfect pointy toe!
As far as the outfit I’m wearing, though, it’s so versatile! I love a comfortable jumpsuit – it’s practical for chasing after the kids but also stylish. You can also swap the tie belt for a large wooden buckle option. Plus, a good sandal is priceless in my book. And let’s not forget that nothing says spring like this blush jumpsuit, versatile white blazer and flattering sandals. How cute is this bag? I hope it doesn’t end up with cheerios in it.

If you’ve ever walked into a Nordstrom shoe department, you already know what I’m talking about. Once you walk into the department, you are greeted right away. I love that about Nordstrom. Their customer service is always five star!

If I choose to purchase online, I usually get a couple sizes and style, try on what works and return what doesn’t. Yay for free returns! For these particular wedges, I tried them on in store. A friendly store associate told me to try the 8.5 versus my usual size 9 since they do stretch and I had some room. I’ve already worn these espadrilles on two occasions and almost half a day on my feet and no blisters or sores to report. Now, that is saying a lot considering I’m holding a baby 75% of the time! Besides comfort, the price point is below $80, and a perfect spring shoe. The only con would be, I wish the shoe came in more colors and different heights. I chose the gray since the color was really flattering with my skin tone and versatile to be worn with spring whites and classic blacks. What’s cool is that, at 4 1/4″ height and 1″ platform, you don’t feel the height and it is incredibly flattering. Especially worn with dresses or jeans.

If you were hesitant, get this! When you buy Treasure & Bond, Nordstrom will donate 2.5% of net sales to organizations that work to empower youth. How cool is that? I love when a company gives back. Also, this sandal has 625 reviews, most of which say these are incredibly COMFORTABLE and they wished they purchased these earlier. I know because I read most of those comments. Convincing me to order the tan ones as well. What do you think?

If you have a round face, rectangle, square lenses work the best. If you have a square shape face, aviators, butterflies or round sunnies are most flattering. As for oval, any shape works!

Spring is on the way, I can feel it! That might sound silly coming from someone who lives in Southern California, but I think spring is so much more than just the temperature. There’s a freshness in the air and all the new fashion trends start to show up! On a recent trip to Nordstrom, I definitely saw lots of fun new things for the season including this amazing black slip dress.
This dress is my perfect outfit in so many ways. First, it’s comfortable, which means I can chase all five kids around in it. Second, it can be dressed up or down. You can wear with sneakers or a strappy heel or sandal. Best of both worlds if you ask me.
And when it comes to shopping at Nordstrom, you all know it’s pretty much my favorite place no matter what I’m looking for. I can find stuff for the kids, me and Reid. Win-win! Plus their convenient order online and pick up in-store method is perfect for busy moms. Make sure to head in to check out all their amazing offerings for spring soon!
What are you shopping for this spring?

1 graphic tee // 2. sun dress 3. beach hat 4. tan towels // 5. shorts // 6. wrap dress // 7. kimono // 8. denim shorts // 9. sandals

Spring break is just around the corner. Whether you’re living la vida loca or enjoying a staycation, a new swim suit or sundress may be in order. I’m loving these sandals with just enough embellishment to make them special and this graphic tee. The latter reminds me of a panama jack yellow tee I used to fight over with my sisters and being the youngest girl, I didn’t always come up on top.

Style tip, knot the graphic tee over the swimsuit, or use a light wrap to wear over a swimsuit so it looks like a bodysuit. Next tip, look better in whatever you wear with a ‘fake tan.’ I use tan towels for my body and this serum for my face (I buy “medium” and don’t use tan towels on my face since my face is more sensitive).

Whether you’re home or away, I hope it’s relaxing and you enjoy a good book and the ones you love most! We will likely be at Lake Arrowhead enjoying the lake and pine trees.

Happy Humpday!

As always my shop page is open 24/7 and check out some of my picks for the Nordstrom half yearly sale!

This is probably my favorite time of year. Even in California where we have year-round warm weather, everything just feels fresh and fun. It’s the perfect time to clean out your closet and add a few new spring-inspired dresses. There are so many colorful options available around Easter that it’s hard to pick just one, so I’ve pulled together five of my must-haves. One of my absolute favorites, though, is this yellow number.
First, the color yellow just screams spring and perfect for a wedding. If you’re debating between another color and yellow, I’d definitely go the colorful route this time around. Another color that’s super trendy right now is lavender, so that’s a great choice as well. Back to the yellow dress, though. Not only is the color spot on, the floral design and ruffled sleeves are the perfect details. Can you ever really go wrong with florals and ruffles for spring? I don’t think so.

You can spice up your dress even more, no matter the style or color, with some eye-catching accessories like this fun, round straw bag (another HUGE trend) and some cute pumps or espadrilles wedges. Now you’re set with an amazing wedding look and dresses that will take you all the way through spring and into summer!

I have a confession: I’m willing to splurge on cashmere. I love it. I feel like once you wear it, there’s no going back. You can just feel the luxury and you know that given the opportunity to buy it again, you will because it’s that good. My favorite way to wear it is as a shawl or wrap because you can get so much more use out of it and style it several different ways.

Have you heard of Kinross Cashmere? I’m already a huge fan of kimono’s and wraps, so when I found out they were super soft cashmere, it was a win-win. I really love the ruffle detail on this white cashmere wrap. My daughter has already threatened to steal it! That’s always a good indication I’m on to something good. My mom always wore wraps growing up, so I feel like I’m sharing my mother’s classic taste in fashion when donning a cashmere wrap of my own. How would you wear yours? It also looks great around your neck with jeans, a tee and boots, but the possibilities are endless!

Hope you have a lovely weekend! I’m in Dallas currently with Rewardstyle, but I can’t wait to get home to hubby and my babies tomorrow!

If there’s one trend I’m ridiculously excited about right now, it’s the denim skirt. Partly because it takes me back in time, but also because it’s denim, and you all know I’m pretty obsessed with denim of all kinds. Personally, I’m not sure why the denim skirt ever left the “trendy” scene to begin with, but the distressed look and raw hems here to stay, so I’m hoping the jean skirt is too!
My go-to look when styling a denim skirt is to keep is casual. This is something I love about skirts in general. You can easily dress them up with pumps or wedges and a cute, semi-dressy top, or you can dress them down with casual footwear (hello gorgeous Hunter boots!) and an easy tank and cardigan. You can clearly see which way I went with this outfit. It’s all about balancing it out. For example, if you do go in a dressier direction, the denim of the skirt keeps the look comfortable.
If you’ve been searching for the perfect denim skirt, I can tell you this one is amazing. It’s not distressed, but it does have the raw hem, which I love. It’s from [insert brand/store] and would make the perfect addition to your spring and summer wardrobe. And speaking of spring—if you don’t have yourself a pair of Hunter rain boots, you have to grab some ASAP. They’re a staple for me.
Once you have the jean skirt, the Hunter boots and this tank and cardigan, you’re well on your way to having the foundation of a great spring wardrobe.

I’ve a confession to make: call me lazy but lately I want to wear all the loose things. I want my tops to be roomy, my pants to feel like sweats, and my coffee hot. Is that too much to ask? I jest however, the struggle is real. There is hope my fellow comfort loving friends! Lately, I’m obsessed with peasant blouses unusual tops, and balloon sleeves you must check out for spring. I wouldn’t be a good friend if I didn’t share these with you! While I have other VERY exciting news to share in the forthcoming weeks, these amazing blouses are all below.  I have literally scrolled so many pages of tops, tunics and blouses, SO which are your favorite? Please comment if you know of any cute girls sizes, I’m on the hunt!
