It’s no surprise, leggings are a girls best friend. You can look like you’re fresh off hot yoga without leaving the carpool line. I love how these Spanx faux leather leggings suck you in like the lululemon wunder under leggings. I’m a fan. I also love the touch of faux leather. Did I mention that this is a VERY comfy outfit? Perfect post furniture shopping. We went to RH outlet and I had to hold Reid back from buying the whole store. We left with a modest receipt of $180, thanks to $60 a panel curtains. How I Scored Vintage Fendi

I was scoring the web for a vintage gently used Fendi zucca print. I thought I wanted a small cocktail size, until I saw this larger tote on eBay, I knew it was love at first sight. I made an offer to the seller and within hours heard back that she agreed. SOLD. I was SO excited. This size is perfect for our upcoming trip to Mexico. Large enough to fit diapers, wallet, chapstick, phone and will look great lounging by the pool with me, baby and as much guac and chips I can possibly order. After all, it’s not Mexico without eating as much guac and chips as possible. I styled the outfit around this vintage Fendi bag. I love how versatile this maxi dress is. For instance, unbuttoned it doubles as a kimono duster, how cool is that? I paired it with cutoffs, tank, and neutral cage heels. I’ve also styled a smaller Fendi bag here. What do you think?

My Latest Spring Outfit

I can’t tell you how excited I am that the sun is out! It has been a rainy couple of weeks in LA, and there is more to come. In the meantime, I’m stocking up on lace tops. This one doubles as a swim cover-up, dressed up with heels or dressed down with spanx leggings and a baseball cap. Which is your favorite? I feel like this gloomy weather lately is making us enjoy the brief moments of sunshine all the more! Its all about attitude right? Especially when I’m facing homework with the kids this week, so much patience, but summer is around the corner and seeing their “Ah-ha” moments are pretty special. Hope you have a great start to the week!

When you’re feeling uninspired what do you do? When I’m feeling uninspired, I reach for one accessory that inspires me or “sparks joy”! This time it was this vintage inspired logo canvas Fendi bag. It is so simple yet classic and timeless. I reached for my (under $100) trench coat, denim shorts, and oversize sweater to complete the look. If you really wanted to kick it up a notch for date night, I would add a red lip! Bare Minerals “Srsly Red” is a new favorite.

Some Weekend Notes:

I’m loving these hair pills and these gummies, have you tried? My friend, a cancer survivor, said this collagen is helping her come back in nice and full. Yay!

I just started using ACV – apple cider vinegar – 1/2 cup of vinegar and 1/2 cup of water, to rinse over scalp first before use of shampoo and conditioner. It helped my hair feel lighter and less oily.

My alo faux fur jacket is back in stock in all sizes, hooray!

I’m obsessed with these lentil chips that have protein. They’re almost too yummy to be called “healthy”

Nothing says you mean business like a blazer and I’m loving this oversize version. I love this outfit for meetings and after school activities. Who else keeps a pair of sneakers in their car? I rounded up some favorites blazers below:

This week, I haven’t been going to events but rather running at the park every day with the kiddos, and being intentional. I’m intentionally not booking up my week like weeks past. This allows me to be more present with my kids and meet them where they need to be met with anything they are facing. When I’m stressed from being in 3 hours of traffic, I’m not the best mom I can be. So, saying no to events on the west side and opening my week has been a blessing.

I also went off coffee, can you believe? I won’t lie, I do miss it but I am less jittery and more peaceful this week. My collagen powder just now goes into hot almond milk. Its not amazing, but hey it works and I’m still getting my protein and collagen. Read more of my routine HERE. What about you, how was your week?

My Daily Routine

To those asking about my vintage Chanel Cocoon bag, here’s a dupe for much less and bonus, it wipes clean. If you’re worried about the spit up from last night? Yeah, that’s a quick wipe off. See my faves below!

I get a lot of questions about my routines from diet to keeping it up with it all.  Read on for some tips! 

WHAT IS YOUR MORNING ROUTINE LIKE?

To avoid getting hangry, I take two scoops of Vital Proteins Collagen Powder (non-flavored) in my almond milk latte every morning. 

The benefits of collagen are many. It’s the most abundant protein in your body. It can relieve joint pain and improving skin health. I’ve personally noticed better hair quality and stronger nails. After all, increased skin hydration leads to less wrinkles. Do I have your attention now?

 

AFTERNOON ROUTINE?

Multi tasking is key. 

I drink Dandy Blend with one scoop of collagen protein and almond milk and snack on salted almonds or kale chips as I respond to e-mails.

I work on my pilates ring while I help the kids with their homework.  Yes they think I’m crazy.  The pilates ring tones my inner thighs.  I even bring it in my suitcase when we travel.

 

Kale Chips

1 big bunch of organic kale, washed and dried

pinch off the leaves from the stalk into small pieces

drizzle with avocado oil and sea salt

Bake for 15 min on 350 degrees

I get a lot of questions about what vitamins I take on the regular. I take a prenatel vitamin since I’m still nursing and b12, since I’m off coffee. Don’t think for a second this mama doesn’t run on some kind of vitamin in place of a legal addictive stimulant. I link both below that I take daily!

WHAT ABOUT YOUR DINNER ROUTINE?

Tonight we are having lemon chicken and oregano potatoes tonight. We have a ton of meyer lemons on our bush in our yard so I’m making that with oregano. It’s delicious. I’m making it in the crock pot because I tend to burn everything. Want the recipe? Look below:

Chicken and Potatoes

1 whole chicken or a couple chicken breasts (whatever I have on hand)

Avocado oil

Garlic

4 lemons freshly squeezed

1 cup of water or enough to cover the potatoes

4 large potatoes peeled and chopped

oregano

Sea Salt

If it’s a crazy busy day ahead, start in the morning and throw it in a crock pot. If not, place all ingredients in a 9×13 dish and cook for 1 hour in 350 degrees or until chicken and potatoes are tender. The lemon makes the sauce amazing! Serve with rolls and a green salad.  Top off the salad with my homemade salad dressing here! 

CHORES! Do your kids do them?

Oh the dreaded word!! But seriously it HAS to be done. Other things that help laundry and organization are giving each of my kids a chore that is age specific. My oldest does the laundry, second daughter loads/unloads the dishwasher, oldest boy (#3) takes out the trash and the 5 year old takes out the small trash cans from the upstairs bathrooms. I will not claim that my kids do their chores without reminders (nagging) or without some bribing and I’ll admit I have to do lots of incentives, but it eventually gets done. For example, a popular incentive in my house are healthy lollipops. I use those candy on a stick for everything and MANY TIMES A DAY !! :)))

Living in LA, and not being far from a beach or pool, here are some of my top picks and things in my beach bag. Don’t forget SPF, a good book, and leave your worries at the beach. I always bring my go-to cutoffs and a bunch of black and white tanks to mix and match.
