It’s time to simplify your wardrobe and a jumpsuit is the first step. Besides the fact that it is ONE AND DONE, it can be dressed up or down. I wear it here with a leather jacket and denim jacket. I added some print with a fun scarf. Which way is your favorite?

2. Fold in half, tie under your hair and secure with bobby pins.

This is the book we’ve been reading to the kids at night. The stories are so inspirational and encourage great conversation.

Do I use mascara primer, and should you use it too? Yes! Ever since I stopped getting lash extensions, I’ve been using lash boosters, taking biotin and collagen (to grow hair) and trying to get my lashes to look longer. I tell you, it’s hard being a girl sometimes.

I have $100 gift card from Nordstrom, how should I use it? See below some goodies I rounded up from the NSALE. My advice is, stock up on neutral layers that will stand the test of time and many trends. For example, a cute trench coat.

I’ve been making TWIX bars all week, just ask my kids. We ate them till our stomach hurt. GFDF! Now, I can’t wait to make these paleo pancakes. YUM!

My best friend is in Paris, I can’t help but wish I was there with her, booking the next table at the amazing cafe: Les Deux Margots.

I love this jelly peel. It literally makes your dead skin come off!

I’m day 3 using Biotin gummies for hair. So yum. Now, I need to hide them from Reid.

Tips on how to shop the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

My favorite sale of the year is here. Icon and Ambassadors get an early preview to shop today at 9:30 PST and 12:30 EST. This year is a big selection I must say. Lots of goodies. But honestly, I’m most excited about the boots.

Since they did things differently this year, allowing the Icon and Ambassador levels to shop first, THINGS WILL SELL OUT FASTER THAN USUAL. Which takes me to my first tip:

  1. BUY NOW, RETURN LATER. If you’re on the fence about size or color, my advice would be to buy it (if available) and return one if necessary. It’s more important you get the item, right?
  2. GET THE CARD. Are you a Nordstrom Card holder? I’m NOT a fan of having multiple credit cards, but I got this one 2 years ago just for this sale. I never keep a balance and only use it for this sale. What I’m trying to say, is, it is worth it. And I get multiple $20 notes in the mail because I spend so much during this sale for you girls. Sorry Reid.

I’m loving these pj’s, this bag, and super soft pullover for colder areas that always sells out. I would size up for a roomier fit. I also picked up these ear crawler earrings in gold and this gold bar pendant for $52.

Here’s a sneak peek of what I got from the sale yesterday. I have 5 bags and I had to have curbside pick up to help me get everything in my car. Phew, that was a workout!

What are your plans for the Fourth? The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays. good food, friends, and a chilly evening watching the fireworks. And maybe a day to sleep in? Levi hasn’t been the greatest sleeper but maybe he too will get the hint that its a holiday weekend. 2 years ago we went to the San Marino fireworks display at Lacy Park. While it was beautiful, scenic and fun to be with friends, never again! One of our friend’s daughter went missing and it was too many people to keep track of our then 4 children. So since last year, we started a tradition of watching the fireworks at Lake Arrowhead. Some of you know we have an A Frame we renovated here that we rent out. This year, we look forward to 4 days of clean mountain air at Lake Arrowhead. We can’t wait! Let’s transition to an upcoming sale in 11 days!!

Whether I’m shopping for the house, Levi or myself, Walmart has me covered. I ordered pj’s, onesies, and shorts for myself, chose next day delivery and BOOM, it arrived the next day. I sometimes wonder, how that is possible? I’m definitely getting spoiled. Just tonight, my dad, who is visiting, asked me if I had anything besides Pregnancy tea, NOPE. So he drank the pregnancy tea with his nightly lemon tea ritual. I had a LONG good laugh. Now, with 5, my life has never been busier, and Levi now 8 months has never been clingier. Anyone know of a good chiropractor? I’m loving the convenience of next day shipping. I even ordered baking powder online. Who am I becoming? This just means A. I am planning on baking something AHHHMAZING B. It means I still have pregnancy brain and I don’t trust myself to walk into Ralphs with baking powder on my list and still walk out with it. Alas, I’m sure one day when the kids are grown up, I’ll have a moment to myself. But in the mean time, I’ll enjoy all the conveniences of online grocery slash life purchases I can afford. And at walmart.com, thats a lot.

Sunday Best on a Tuesday

After being gone a whole week, we were more than happy to see the 4 kiddos this weekend. We enjoyed a morning at church with papa, and an afternoon at the nursery buying plants and driving up to Lake Arrowhead. We planted (my favorite) raspberry bushes that take me back to playing Candy Land on my grandma’s porch snaking on raspberries while the air smelled like roses. Ah to be 5 again! We got a lot accomplished. Well my dad and Reid did while I nursed Levi. We also brought up 3 paint colors to try on the Lake Arrowhead cabin.
