What were your last google searches?

healthy lunches for kids, bell sleeves, and flights for (NYFW).

How did you start out blogging?

I took selfies and flat lays of outfits over naptime. It was a total creative outlet.

Favorite new discovery?

Clarisonic. I brought home the Mia 3 from New York and I’m obsessed. So are my kids.

Favorite new lip stain that’s 100% pure?

100% Pure lipstain in pomegranate. It’s been great for my sensitive skin and dry lips!

Most understated wardrobe ESSENTIAL?

The blazer. It’s an instant tummy tuck, face lift to a tired outfit, and fastest way to elevate jeans and loafers. I like this oversize boyfriend version.

What do you like most about your job?

So many things from styling, traveling and to meeting people, but most of all that I get to stay home with my kids and still work in fashion. That’s a dream come true.

When do you go back to New York?

In less than 2 weeks for fashion week. I need to catch up on sleep now! Yeah right.

Fall’s most wanted?

Anything leather, suede or chunky knit. Stay tuned for more fall faves.

Are you still reeling from the weekend and need some outfit inspo? Fall is a great time to experiment with proportions and layering and can be dressed up or down. I’m planning on wearing this combo with sneakers for school drop off next week. Next week!! What’s your favorite laying pieces?

The one item that is always on my must buy, must stock up, and must pack list is stripes. I happen to love them just as much on my six year old. Maybe more so. Paired with suede, jeans, or tough girl leather, you can’t go wrong. To be honest, sleeves are waaay to hot for NYC, but come next month we will be ready for them.  So ready.

I’m often asked, what is my number one go to piece in the dead of winter? One word: fur. And if fur is what I wear, the Conservatory is where we go in the dead of winter. 60 degree January in Chicago, anyone? Nothing pulls it up a notch like fur. For a quick effortless look, I pair a fur stolewith a black blazer or coat. Along the same lines, nothing beats a fur infinity scarf paired with a bleached jean or leather moto jacket. The latter of which is one of my favorite pieces from Anthropologie that looks dead on with lace. So, next time you’re running out the door with a toddler glued to your leg and a tired wool coat, reach for a fur stole or infinity scarf for that pulled together under $35 look.
Bring it on winter.

P.S. See my interview with Anthropologie on their blog !!
