Spending the week in Florida. A friend of mine said this is the best week to visit. I have to agree with her. We’re enjoying light crowds, turquoise waters, and cool evenings. What more could we ask for? Well, maybe a chef to cook for my teens who eat 24/7. Shop my set in the above widget. I love love this set since it’s so versatile. Got white jeans? Monday dreaming: a perfect beach outfit

Some of my favorite outfits are the simplest. Like this crop top and these split leg pants. It has me craving a tropical vacation, but in the meantime, I got a bunch of compliments from hubby and my kids as I frolicked in this outfit around the house. We leave for Cabo in a couple weeks and I’m already planning my outfits, at least in my head and the rest below! Summer is just around the corner, and I am super excited. Warmer temps have been creeping into this week and the kids and I are so excited for more park days! Even though we had our new fridge/freezer break this week, we’re coping with the inconvenience and all smiles for sun after weeks of rain. I have had so many friends and followers message me about what to bring or buy to a warm weather getaway. Living in LA, and not being far from a beach or pool, here are some of my top picks and things in my beach bag. Don’t forget SPF, a good book, and leave your worries at the beach. I always bring my go-to cutoffs and a bunch of black and white tanks to mix and match.

Anytime you and your hubby are able to get away from the kids, you know it’s going to be great. But when you add in top service, luxury accommodations, and star treatment, you start to wonder if maybe you don’t need to go home? Staying at 1Hotels in Miami was that for us. From start to finish, we were greeted with great service, enthusiastic staff, and non-stop lobby treats. Lobby treats! It should be A Thing, everywhere. Did we mention our toughest decision was which pool to use? Our room was spacious, a gorgeous white, and had triple-filtered water and a dreamy shower.

And in the event that you mustered enough energy to leave the room or the pool, the hotel offered a (complimentary) driving service. After you took the required Selfie in the Tesla, you could shoot over to nearby restaurants like Oh Mehico (the guac!) and Whole Foods. There was also a spartan gym for those over-achievers who actually work out while on vacation, and a steam room for those who don’t. I spent some lovely minutes admiring both on my way to the pool.

A few tips to enhance your stay:

Ask the locals where to eat.

Walk if you can- you’ll get a great feel for the place

No shame ordering chicken fingers and fries by the pool. Vacation mode means you let up and enjoy time talking about the kids, school, work and life.

One night in LAGUNA

Since moving to CA, we have become avid beach goers. I mean, when in Rome, right? So after many weekends of beach-hopping, we polled the kids for the favorite beach. By this time we had visited about 6 beaches and not too surprising, Laguna Beach trumped the competition. Laguna is the most exotic of the beaches I have visited thus far, and it was easy to enjoy at Casa Laguna, where we stayed to attend the Gorjana store opening. It was a fun weekend getaway from the hustle of Los Angeles and the coffee on the veranda was a huge bonus. And the store had a photo-booth … you know, those contraptions where you put your kids in and you don’t see them for 10 hours straight? Yeah, so that was a bonus as well. After we peeled the kids away from the 52nd photo-booth picture, we hit the sack at the hotel so as to fit in a cold swim and some yummy breakfast the next morning before leaving. Thankfully, we got four sleepy heads on the long drive home and lots of memories. Can’t wait to go back!

4 Things to do in Laguna.

Victoria Beach – Lots of rock but seal sighting is normal, great views and surf
Casa Laguna pool – the pretty tile and lookout building was fun and romantic.
Banzai Bowl – acai bowls are so refreshing after a morning at the beach or afternoon swim. And my kids love them!
