As Mother’s Day rolls around, Reid invariably asks me what I want at some point. I usually ask for a massage or homemade cards. This year I asked for some jewelry like the kind my mother used to wear, lots of pearls in the form of elegant rings and earrings. This Mother’s Day I’m so grateful for my Mom who put up with my teenage attitude and awkward stages, and continues to be selfless in serving her kids and grandkids. And the weird thing is, I really will miss these days of floors cluttered with annoying blocks or hundreds of frozen peas, constant bickering but also constant hugs and kisses.
