I got asked recently, what are my top straw hats for summer. They are in fact the best and easiest ways to keep the sun rays at bay while still looking chic. Even as a busy mom juggling a toddler, SPF spray, snacks, and trying to keep the wrinkles at bay, you can still look like the cat’s meow. If the juggle is real, shop all 5 straw hats below. Here I’m wearing one from Lack of Color that is on repeat. The shape and color is really flattering and I’ve tried about 20! I also own this fedora I picked up for $26 on Amazon. Let me know what you think in the comments below.

Summer is just around the corner, and I am super excited. Warmer temps have been creeping into this week and the kids and I are so excited for more park days! Even though we had our new fridge/freezer break this week, we’re coping with the inconvenience and all smiles for sun after weeks of rain. Above and below I compiled some pieces to pack for an exotic resort getaway or chic staycation. Style tip: a long necklace or bangle can instantly add chic to a swimsuit and coverup. Spring break is just around the corner. Whether you’re living la vida loca or enjoying a staycation, a new swim suit or sundress may be in order. I’m loving these sandals with just enough embellishment to make them special and this graphic tee. The latter reminds me of a panama jack yellow tee I used to fight over with my sisters and being the youngest girl, I didn’t always come up on top.
Style tip, knot the graphic tee over the swimsuit, or use a light wrap to wear over a swimsuit so it looks like a bodysuit. Next tip, look better in whatever you wear with a ‘fake tan.’ I use tan towels for my body and this serum for my face (I buy “medium” and don’t use tan towels on my face since my face is more sensitive).
Whether you’re home or away, I hope it’s relaxing and you enjoy a good book and the ones you love most! We will likely be at Lake Arrowhead enjoying the lake and pine trees.
Happy Humpday!

Personally, I’ve been stumped with what swimsuit to buy at 27 weeks! I wore one to a friends pool and it was downright embarrassing. It was a non-maternity one piece that my belly was pulling down and I kept pulling up during insecure conversations and I told myself, I need to find a suit, stat! So I did some research and found some ones worth sharing. Whether you’re a one or two-piece girl, I’ve got you covered. No pun intended! I still have a J-crew one piece from 2013 that still fits so good. I wear it to swim lessons with the kids. Any excuse to get in the water and relieve my back you know?
I also like these high waisted tied bottoms for only $36 and this top

Shopping for a swimsuit is like shopping for jeans, it can be frustrating and intimidating. Today, I’m sharing a couple I love and that are flattering. Don’t get me wrong, I still feel the urge to do 50 more ab crunches before I go down to the pool, but let’s face it, I’m a mom, my body isn’t perfect after 4 kids. Hello stretched out belly button thanks to my 8lb child #3. While he did some damage, it’s obviously worth every bit and self tanner does wonders. I think we can all agree that a cute suit you love helps you feel better when wearing it. Let’s dive right in:
1. I’m wearing this ruffle bandau from Wala Swim.
2. with this stripe bikini bottom thats similar to the Topshop one I’m wearing. (sold out).
3. If you’re a one-piece girl, I’ve got you covered, I love this maillot I wore in Palm Springs.
One pieces are super flattering and its ok to have a couple to wear with a kimono.
Two pieces are super fun especially with the ruffle trend. Mix and match for beach and pool days, here are some of my favorites:
Below I added some beach or pool essentials from a cheap tote (because mine takes a beating on the beach) to a great big towel.
