Spring break starts this weekend, so I’ll be chasing all four kids all week long, ditching the heels, and grabbing my flats. I’m loving the lace up sandal trend with cropped jeans and frays of course. Try it at home, you won’t be disappointed. Go HERE and tell me which is your favorite! Enter on Instagram to win a pair of your choice, winner announced Monday!

5 Sandals under $100

Gingham is not just for picnics. It’s a fun-loving easy-to style print that I love with jeans, white pants or skirts. For example, I’ve had this beautiful gingham wrap dress in my closet forever  but it was too short on me, but then in dawned on me, I could pair a fluted navy skirt underneath. Midnight styling sessions while the kids sleep really is paying off. However, the 7am alarm clock is a rude awakening. Thankfully, my in-laws arrive next week. Think lots of new fresh content and date nights. Can you tell I’m excited? See here and here how I styled gingham and shop my top 6 picks below.

I’ve been eying this top for a while and I finally got my hands on it. The terracotta color is striking and I love pairing it with a neutral bag and white wide leg pants. I also will pair it with jeans for a family ice cream date to Scoops or a blazer for a meeting. It’s all about versatility. Happy Monday!

Fishnets, cropped denim and extra silky tops for the win! And no, we didn’t get a dog. Here I’m standing with our friend’s dog, La Mer. And while La Mer is incredibly friendly and absolutely gorgeous, she’s also been known to eat lightbulbs and shoes. The kids desperately want a dog, but hubby and I aren’t quite ready to take the plunge (lightbulbs! shoes!) so we compromise by borrowing other people’s dogs. It’s working so far. But IF we were to get a dog, our 3 favorite dog breeds are Silver labs, Weimaraners, and any small mutt with a black eye. I’m just glad La Mer didn’t take a bite out of my Miu Miu’s. Now, that would be a whole different story.

Nothing says Spring like a dress and florals. Here I dressed up a $29 floral dress with a designer belt, gold accessories and blush trench heels. I love belted dresses for the shape and overall polish. I think we will be seeing lots more florals and blush to come. Now, back to organizing, meal planning, outfit sorting, and list making. Happy weekend!

While ‘Spring forward’ is more of a rude awakening losing one hour, Spring colors are more than welcome. Think pinks, reds, and even floral. When in doubt, pair similar tones like pink, red, mauve, with jeans. This is the perfect outfit for lunch with a friend or date night. Trust, me, you’ll be seeing more of this blush trench. See another blush look here. Happy Monday, hope you had a lovely weekend.

I’m always inspired by the million ways to style a white shirt, from pleated skirts to tuxedo pants, it all works. And this one is no exception thanks to attention to details like zip closure and arm slits. On that note, please join me Tuesday, March 7, at Karen Millen Store Santa Monica, located at: Santa Monica Place, 395 Santa Monica Place, Space 164, Santa Monica, CA 90401, from 6-9pm, with my talk starting at 7pm. I’ll be hosting an event discussing the versatility of the white shirt and answering your hardest style questions. Bring a friend, I’d love to meet you!

While it may seem like Abercrombie + Fitch is catering more to the younger set (think tweens and teens), a recent shopping trip there was an eye-opener. Abercrombie + Fitch has stepped it up and I’m loving all the colors, enviable basics, and great classic styles that made it so popular in the first place. If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll notice I’ve been wearing this trench coat on repeat. Thankfully, this taupe beauty happened to arrive at my doorstep during the heart of LA’s crazy cool and wet February weather. Also, these jeans and gingham top, like most Abercrombie + Fitch items are under $100.
Oh, and did I mention the kids’ section? The selection is melt-your-heart good.  The darling shorts are still darling after lots of active wear–and still in one piece, without holes. They’re cute AND shenanigan-proof. Can you ask for more? And I was more than happy that he actually liked his hat well enough to keep it on. His dad is even jealous of that hat.  It’s the little things in life that make you smile, right? Thank you Abercrombie + Fitch for sponsoring this post and reintroducing me to the brand and new styles. Go find some new favorites!

Margaret and Katherine Kleveland had a mission to provide responsibly-sourced high fashion pieces at attainable prices, which seems almost like a misnomer. But they manage to pull it off, with most of their gorgeous items under $200. Their vibe is very California-cool with loose, flattering pieces that fit most, if not all, body types. I’m already eyeing THIS blouse.  They also sell children’s ponchos that are sure to be drool-worthy on any toddler. And I kind of love supporting moms doing what they love, especially if they are genius at it. DÔEN HERE

I always gravitate toward nude sandals and these comfy wedges from Børn are no exception. I brought them on our weekend excursion to Manhattan Beach and they were perfect for the beach and walking around town. I prefer them styled with an oversize tunic and cutoffs. The nude color actually elongates the leg and I can definitely chase my almost three-year-old in them. While I can’t promise these will slow your toddler down, you can at least catch up to him without sacrificing your style. Who doesn’t want to look brunch ready? I also like these and this pair.
