If you haven’t already heard, Gucci is now at Nordstrom!! I’m putting lots of favorites in my cart and have already tagged one as an anniversary gift come the 17th. (Thanks, Reid!) Anyone else shop for their own gifts? In addition to the GG Pumps I’m wearing here, there is also a gorgeous belt bag and classic statement bags that make up my Want List. For this purchase, I ordered it online and picked it up at my local Nordstrom. It was dangerously easy and I was able to get it right away. Another option they gave me was curbside pick up but since I had an exchange I ended up just going in. Anyone else used this? It’s great for busy moms on the go with a car full of kids. Gotta love curbside pick up for everything! Which Gucci item is your favorite? I’m eyeing the belt bag like I said, but hurry up because its almost sold out! Here I styled the Gucci GG pumps with a Canadian uniform (aka denim on denim), a white tank and cute pink trench. Who doesn’t love the classic luxe accessories and everyday basics combo?

My Day in Newport with Beek

I expected to feel better after a vitamin IV injection but I didn’t expect to leave with so much knowledge I gained from celebrity nutritionist Kelly Leveque. I’m a self professed “health nut” and always interested in health and my eyes were opened to so much valuable information! She believes in the fab 4: protein, fat, fiber, and greens.  I knew I felt better eating an avocado with leafy greens! Get here famous smoothie HERE! It was all in all a lovely day with the Beek team from IV treatment at The Hydration Room to lunch with boss babes at Farmhouse. Thank you again to the lovely Beek team and Hydration Room! What Jeans to Buy

I’m realizing that after so many years and so many pairs of jeans, I keep going back to only a handful of pairs. I’ll name them below:

LEVIS 721 skinny jeans. They’re only $88, have build in busted knees (mine have gotten bigger with time) and so flattering with a universal wash. I also love this lighter wash. How cute are these shorts?

TOPSHOP I basically started blogging with this pair of jeans. I like their washes and distressing. I rarely go up in size for jeans, but I do for this brand.

REVOLVE GRLFRND DENIM they fit similar to Levis, and I love the distressed denim! Also, check out this pair

We’re coming up on spring and all I can think about is the nautical trend. Don’t sail much? You don’t have to! I love it for casual spring days when I’m wanting to add some stripes to my look. They add just a bit of nautical flair, especially with that pretty blue color. Nautica is such a classic brand that has mastered this style, so I always check out what new items they have around this time of year. Mommy Daughter Date

Happy Friday! I thought I would share what a day date with one of my kids usually looks like. Though they can vary according to the child, there are always lots of treats, talking (and sometimes silence), but mostly just a whole lot of meaningful time together. Usually the child who is the most obedient and docile gets most neglected. The squeaky wheel gets the oil, right? That was happening with my oldest who was getting lost in the mix of a busy large family. What is the solution you ask? Intentional day dates.

It takes putting it on the calendar and then doing it! On this particularly sunny day in Pasadena, we went to coffee, she got monkey bread, and we talked. We talked a lot in the car as well but that one on one time was so fruitful. We went on to an event I had that afternoon and got gum on our walk back to the car. It was fun just the two of us. She was hugging me and had a renewed sense of herself and confidence, and I got to reconnect with her and find out how she’s doing with life. It reminded me to do this with all my kids; the second oldest is next!

After I had kids, I became a HUGE fan of holidays. When I learned today was President’s Day and no school, I felt like dancing in streets! We had a busy weekend of Reid taking the younger three kids to the Lake and I had the eldest here in LA. Fun but tiring! I can’t wait to eat pancakes in leisure without rushing, have plenty of time to wipe the syrup off the table, and sip my coffee. I’ve been getting more to the gym not only because summer is coming but its the much needed endorphins I need! I’m loving the results, been taking a little pre-workout for more energy for the afternoon slump and calm gummies for the evening.
