I took selfies and flat lays of outfits over naptime. It was a total creative outlet.

Clarisonic. I brought home the Mia 3 from New York and I’m obsessed. So are my kids.
Favorite new lip stain that’s 100% pure?
100% Pure lipstain in pomegranate. It’s been great for my sensitive skin and dry lips!
Most understated wardrobe ESSENTIAL?
The blazer. It’s an instant tummy tuck, face lift to a tired outfit, and fastest way to elevate jeans and loafers. I like this oversize boyfriend version.
What do you like most about your job?
So many things from styling, traveling and to meeting people, but most of all that I get to stay home with my kids and still work in fashion. That’s a dream come true.
When do you go back to New York?
In less than 2 weeks for fashion week. I need to catch up on sleep now! Yeah right.
Fall’s most wanted?
Anything leather, suede or chunky knit. Stay tuned for more fall faves.

As a stylist, I’m often asked what items are worth dropping some serious cash on. Without hesitation, a leather jacket is always at the top of my list, whether your taste is more real leather, faux suede or faux leather under $100. Here are my top five, with pretty much something for everyone. And if you need that extra push, the logic behind the madness, if you will, please consider the cost-per-wear (CPW) angle. Take, for example, a pale pink ACNE STUDIOS leather jacket. If you wear it 150 days out of the year, it costs $13.33 per wear. Now, I’m far from a math major, but that’s clear enough to convince me to go for it. So, keeping the CPW in mind, you’re actually saving money rocking your moto jacket countless ways, whether it be with a pencil skirt OR sushi-date-ready lace dress. Now, that’s a brilliant idea.

The news is out: Sperry boat shoes are now customizable! I have always wanted a navy pair, and now I can have one! I secretly love navy paired with black. It’s unconventional, and maybe that’s why I love it. So, if you’re curious how the process goes, I filled out a form and then they arrived. Complicated, huh? I also had the option of picking panel colors, tabs, thread, laces, and monogram just to name a few. How great is that? They do, however, take a bit longer than the average ship. So, make a note that shipping takes 3 weeks from order date. But as we all know, that which is worth having is worth waiting for.

It’s been one of those weeks. We are renovating our kitchen and eating out more than I’d like to admit. So, getting ahead on my Christmas shopping list is not even on my radar. If it’s true that you look best when you feel good about what you’re wearing, then jeans are it for me. If you follow me on insta, they’re basically my second skin. These slightly lived-in distressed AG’s are some of my favorite. They don’t lose their stretch from wear to wear, and they look amazing paired with a simple RAILS plaid and fringe heel. All late-night Nordstrom.com finds! I can also swap out the fringe sandal for chucks when it’s school pick-up time, or leave the heels and throw on some faux fur for date night. Seriously, nobody can debate the versatility of a good pair of jeans. And to justify my addiction to soft plaids, I plan on pairing these puppies with fringe and leather skirts all fall. Until then, I’m enjoying the occasional 70 degree day as an excuse to break out the sandals. Stay tuned to see my next favorite jean from Nordstrom!
