Shalice Noel

I don’t know about you, but 2020 was a strange year. It felt kinda crazy and isolating but I learned to pivot!

I still wanted to feel good about myself, despite staying in more and things being closed, so I didn’t want to skip out on the spa treatments. A girl needs her beauty treatments!

First off, waxing! I get this kit from amazon. It’s $12 for the wax that I melt in the microwave. Lately, I’ve used a paper plate under the plastic wax bottle due to a few unfortunate spills. Trust me, the paper plate is a game-changer. I use these strips to peel off the hair. I use these to wax the bikini area, underarms, and upper lip. This takes practice, so give yourself some time to figure it out. But it’s so worth it!

EXTRA TIP: Finish off the area with this tanning foam. VIOLA! You’ll look like you got back from San Tropez! Use code SHALICE10

I learned to color my roots using this kit I go with a lighter shade than my hair. I use light brown in DPHUE OR 5N in Naturtint. I only apply to my roots, so to avoid wasting product, I mix 1 tablespoon of colorant and 1 T of developer. I leave it on for 1 hour to get those stubborn grays. This doesn’t have harsh chemicals or ammonia, so I’m a fan.

I love self-tanning; it’s an instant mood boost! I use this mousse for legs and body, and tan oil for face.

I learned to tint my eyebrows You leave it on for 10 min and it tints your brows, making it easier to color in your brows and saves you some time.

Whiten my teeth I use these and Atalie uses them too. If you want a healthier version, try these.

Shalice Noel the label launched Friday and we have been busy with orders — Thank you for your support of our small business! I’ve always collected peasant tops; they’re a mild obsession of mine, so I had to include one in my collection. It was the first top I wanted to create and it inspires me in many ways. After all, a good outfit produces confidence and can be very empowering. Many of you asked for more styling ideas for the Paris peasant top, so below are three different outfits, all with the top. Comment with your favorite!

Thank you for being faithful readers of my blog! I appreciate you all and love hearing from you, whether by e-mails, direct messages, comments or even text. It’s been a pleasure getting to know you. As you have gotten to know me, you may notice we always have some life-changing event going on. My in-laws joke that they can’t keep up with us! Reid and I are entrepreneurs at heart and with that comes a little fly-by-night hustle. Thus, we move a lot, relocate to different cities, have babies, dream up new ideas and have a thirst for creating and recreating. I’m thankful that by many years of hard work at Shalicenoel.com, that we can turn my personal style into a clothing line. It’s beyond my wildest dreams and it is so special to me that so many of you have been alongside me throughout this journey. I am grateful for you!
As many of you know, one of the key concepts behind Shalice Noel is effortless chic. We all want to look our best, but we also don’t want to spend the entire morning making it happen. When life gets busy, style shouldn’t have to be sacrificed. These are the ideas that were behind the creation of my line. The collection is from my heart with versatile pieces that are flattering yet effortless. Whatever your daily grind, Shalice Noel pieces will empower your day!

Loving my new lululemon jogger set. I usually try and find a set for comfort, fabric softness and STYLE, of course! Lululemon usually hits it out of the park with all of the above. I like to wear the beyond the studio joggers with my on my level bag post workout or with my align tank.  So many options! See my healthy lifestyle grocery list below.

My weekly grocery list

Buying groceries is incredibly stressful, so let me take out some of the fluff and share with you my essential groceries items.  This is for me and my family of 7.  This is not my entire weekly list but items I always want on hand in my kitchen.

1)      7 Celery Stalks.  One for each day of the week

2)     Cinnamon Raisin Ezekiel Bread

3)     Avocados

4)     Cauliflower

5)     Butter Lettuce

6)     Almond Milk – Sweetened (max 7 grams sugar)

7)     LaCroix

8)     Lily’s Chocolate Bar (I like salted carmel)

9)     Smart Sweets Sour Gummy Bears

10)  Green Olives

I know, totally random…but totally the truth.  A survey of CEO’s revealed that these types of people eat the same thing for lunch every day.  At first, I thought about the monotony.  But then I realized, deciding what to eat is another decision that has to be made during the day. I have 5 kids, so I strive to keep things simple and keep the guess work out of life. Repeating what you eat every day saves you from making one more daily decision and therefore reduces a little stress.

While my diet may seem boring, here it goes.  For breakfast I have a glass of celery juice and an almond milk latte.  For lunch, I’ve been making (or Kate has been making) avocado toast on cinnamon raisin Ezekiel bread.  I take one avocado, smash it and add Chili Lime seasoning.  I then smear it on the cinnamon raisin toast.  For dinner and or pre-dinner snack I make a salad.  Levi enjoys my salads as well.  I use butter lettuce and sprinkle with sunflower seeds, parmesan cheese and green olives.  I drizzle my homemade balsamic dressing over the lettuce (link here).  Levi is practically made of my salads which is why he enjoys them with me.  For dinner, I eat whatever the family is eating and dessert is always a bite of Lily’s Chocolate Bars and or my favorite gummy bears.
