Western boots are a versatile fall staple, and I’ve found seven stunning styles that are perfect for the season, from classic leather to eco-friendly vegan leather. These boots pair effortlessly with both skirts and jeans, making them a must-have for any wardrobe. From sleek pointed-toe designs to chunkier, more rugged styles, each of these western-inspired shapes offers its own unique flair. I’m loving the balance of traditional craftsmanship with modern twists like embroidery, and bold stitching. Whether you’re looking for a timeless leather pair or a more sustainable option, these boots are perfect for embracing fall’s chic layers. Which is your favorite?

1 Pilcro boots come in “honey” brown and the heel height is 1.5″

2 Staud black western boots. SOOO sleek.

3 Free People Love these pointy boots!

4 Schutz love these for their genuine leather and kitten heel of 2.25″

5 Steve Madden Great price point and only 1.75″ heel and 13″ shaft

6 Free People Vegan tall western boots, I like the color au lait!

7 Dolce Vita 2.25″ heel and leather upper make this a great choice to wear with skirts or over jeans.

Reid has been craving ice cream, but we’ve been trying to cut back on refined sugar lately. Luckily, I’ve found an incredible recipe that satisfies our sweet tooth without all the guilt!

This recipe has become one of my absolute favorites, and it reminds me so much of the famous Hailey Bieber coconut ice cream sundae from Erewhon—seriously, it’s THAT good! The best part? It’s creamy, decadent, and made with simple, wholesome ingredients.

The secret to getting that rich, velvety texture is to use coconut cream—not coconut milk. Coconut cream is thicker and makes the ice cream super creamy, whereas coconut milk can leave it a bit watery. Trust me on this one, it makes all the difference.

If you have an ice cream maker, this recipe becomes even easier! Just blend everything up in a Vitamix, pour the mixture into your ice cream maker, and let it do its magic. Don’t have an ice cream maker? No worries! You can still freeze the mixture, stirring it every 30 minutes until you get that perfect, scoopable texture.

Whether you’re a coconut lover or just looking for a refined-sugar-free dessert, this recipe is a must-try!

Let me know if you give it a go—I’d love to hear what you think!

Strawberry Coconut Ice cream

2 cups of frozen strawberries

14 ounce can, coconut cream. (Not coconut milk)

1/4 cup maple syrup

Add ingredients to a Vitamix and blend well. If you don’t have an ice cream maker, pour strawberry cream mixture into a frozen loaf pan for 1 hour. Take it out at the 30 min mark and mix. Otherwise, pour the cream mixture into the ice cream maker and enjoy once it hardens. Garnish with strawberries.

I’m loving this dress from SIMKHAI. It looks like two pieces but is only one. I love the built-in faux leather skirt and the thick ribbed knit top. The contrast between the sleek skirt and the cozy knit is perfect for transitioning between seasons. Plus, the faux leather adds just the right amount of edge, while the ribbed texture keeps it casual enough for day or night. It’s one of those pieces that makes you feel put together with minimal effort, which is exactly what I need! You can also style this dress with clear heels or boots, which is your pick?

We got a new sectional!

by Shalice Noel

Can you believe it? We finally found the perfect sectional for our new space! It’s everything we’ve been looking for and more. This beauty fits seven people comfortably, so there’s plenty of room for everyone to stretch out—no more fighting for a spot on the couch! Plus, it comes with built-in storage, which is such a game-changer. I love having a place to stash blankets, extra pillows, or even toys without cluttering the room. And the best part? The pillow covers have zippers, so I can easily take them off to wash or fluff them whenever needed. That little detail is going to make such a difference with the kids and how often we use it.

The beige color is perfect—it’s neutral enough to match the rest of our decor but still feels warm and inviting. I’ve already started picturing cozy movie nights, family gatherings, and lazy weekends lounging on it. After searching for what felt like forever, we finally found the one that checks all the boxes!

We’re off to a family reunion in Texas! But before we go, I wanted to share a couple of Labor Day sales happening around the web. I sometimes wait for Labor Day to buy things like fall boots. I’ve been eyeing these Staud boots, but the hardest decision has been choosing between brown or black. Now, back to packing for our trip. Where are you headed?

Atalie and I just got back from an amazing 5-day trip to New York City! We went for some meetings and to celebrate Atalie’s sweet 16. Her must-do list included thrifting, exploring Central Park, taking the Circle Line boat cruise, visiting the Statue of Liberty, and checking out a farmer’s market.

We were able to hit everything on her list and then some! A little tip: when you walk everywhere, you discover so much more! We stumbled upon the Greenmarket at Union Square, found tons of thrift and home stores, and even came across some adorable coffee shops. Here are some of the highlights:

  • High Line
  • MOMA
  • Guggenheim (we didn’t make it there, but will next time!)
  • Top of the Rock – ROCKEFELLER CENTER
  • Hudson Yards shopping area
  • Circle Line boat tour – Pier 83 – Saw the Statue of Liberty
  • Thrifting on Broadway
  • Greenmarket at Union Square
  • Washington Square Arch

Overall, it was an incredible trip, and we ended up seeing way more than we planned! By day four, though, our feet were ready for a break, and we were looking forward to heading home. But we’ll never forget that delicious meal at La Mercerie!

Which brings me to share. . . .

Our NYC Food Adventure:

  • Jack’s Wife Freda: We loved the vibrant atmosphere and the Mediterranean-inspired comfort food at this cozy eatery. It was a perfect spot to unwind after exploring the city.
  • Whole Foods: After a long day of walking, we found ourselves craving something simple and comforting. We ordered a whole pizza for just $12 – it was the perfect quick and satisfying meal!
  • La Mercerie: For a fine dining experience, we visited this chic French café. We savored the French onion soup, freshly baked bread, and a selection of cheeses. The ambiance was elegant and inviting, making it a memorable meal.
  • Balthazar: Another fantastic French spot, where we enjoyed their classic onion soup and a refreshing beet salad. The lively brasserie vibe added to the charm of our dining experience.
  • SoHo Grand Hotel: For breakfast, we headed upstairs to the hotel’s restaurant. I opted for the Greek yogurt with fresh fruit – a healthy and delicious start to the day.
  • Blue Bottle Coffee: Throughout our trip, we couldn’t get enough of Blue Bottle Coffee. It helped that it was connected to our hotel. Their brews provided the perfect pick-me-up as we explored the city.

Where We Stayed:

  • Walker Hotel: 77 Walker St. We stayed at the Walker Hotel, perfectly situated on the edge of Tribeca and SoHo. The location was excellent for walking around, offering easy access to some of the city’s best neighborhoods, shops, and dining spots.

    Feeling Like VIPs in NYC:
  • We felt like insiders and even celebrities during our trip, thanks to the CityPASS! We purchased the 3-attraction package for $90 per adult just a day before our trip, selecting Circle Line Sightseeing Cruises, the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), and Top of the Rock as our attractions. When signing up, I was able to choose specific days and times for our visits, and we received QR codes to scan upon arrival.
This planning paid off big time! At each attraction, we were whisked away past long lines and directed straight to elevators and entrances, never once having to wait. It was incredible, and we felt like VIPs the entire time—almost like the Kardashians! I highly recommend getting the CityPASS if you want to make the most of your NYC experience without the hassle.

Tell me in the comments, where are you off to next?

If you’re planning a trip to New York City, there are a few must-see attractions that should be at the top of your list. First up is the iconic Statue of Liberty, a symbol of freedom and a stunning sight from the ferry. Then there’s Central Park, a green oasis in the heart of the city, perfect for a relaxing stroll or a picnic with the family. Times Square is another must-visit, with its bright lights, bustling crowds, and endless entertainment options—it’s the city’s heartbeat, day or night. Art lovers shouldn’t miss the Metropolitan Museum of Art, where you can explore thousands of years of history through its vast collection. Finally, for breathtaking views, head to the Empire State Building or the newer One World Observatory—both offer panoramic vistas of the city skyline that’ll leave you speechless. I’ve heard that renting bikes in Central Park is an amazing way to see the park. Whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned visitor, these spots capture the magic and energy of NYC.

Here’s what I packed:

1 Leather jacket

2 Air max 90

3 Stripe cardigan

4 Ultra flare jeans

5 Gold button earrings

6 Dress under $35

7 Tony bianco sandals

8 Straight leg jeans

9 Vitamins – pill case

10 NYC tee

What to see in NYC

by Shalice Noel

Happy Monday! Atalie and I are leaving for NYC tomorrow, and we are absolutely buzzing with excitement! It’s her first big adventure in the Big Apple, and we’ve been brainstorming all the must-see spots. The Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island are at the top of the list for some iconic sightseeing. Then, we’ll stroll through Central Park, maybe even rent a rowboat on the lake. Times Square is a must for that quintessential NYC energy, especially at night when it lights up like magic. We can’t miss a visit to the Metropolitan Museum of Art for a dose of culture and history. Finally, we’ll take in the breathtaking views from the Top of the Rock or the Empire State Building. Atalie is itching to try out some of the upper east side thrift shops. Any other must-see spots or hidden gems we should add to our itinerary?

As many of you know, we recently moved to a new area. On this particular day, Reid and I explored some new date night spots and admired the beautiful architecture. We found both! Speaking of good finds, I’m loving these Chanel-inspired looks from Talbots. I’ve already worn this knit multiple times, especially at my kids’ school parent practicum, and received lots of compliments. Have you tried their shoes? These metallic Mary Janes are a must-have! Wear them like a neutral. Which look, 1 or 2, is your favorite?

I recently featured my 5 favorites from the Your Personal Best activewear line by Abercrombie on instagram. I love this line for its soft fabric, hidden pockets, and built-in shorts. Which outfit is your favorite? In the mornings, my girls and I have been walking the park near our home and I love wearing the onesie and mini dress. Tip: I bring my drivers license, phone and keys and place them in my hidden pockets. The red mini dress in is back in stock!
