Most of you know that I’ve been a Misa Los Angeles fan for a LONG time. What’s not to love about this dress. It has a killer pattern, bell sleeves, and perfect length to wear with pumps or boots. Did I mention that it also works great with a denim jacket? Well, it does. If you see me at Gjelina in Venice wearing it, say hi.

Hope I have convinced you in these 6 sentences, if not, try it for yourself. Sizes sell out fast.

The next hardest decision will be, twiggy dress with a blazer or denim jacket?

The petite poncho is a great travel layer. Seriously soft and a shorter train than the regular poncho. Love it! I get tons of compliments when I wear it over jeans.

The Modal deep V tee is a best seller. Size down in the white

Peasant top runs large size down if you’re in between sizes.

Safari top fits tts and is the softest lovely poplin. I wear a small for reference.

The wisteria headband

Boyfriend tee runs large, size down. It is so soft you can sleep in it. Yes I have.

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale ends Sunday!

I have a confession to make, I changed my mind about this Levi’s denim jacket. It is in fact, the perfect wash and the denim is so good. I bought it last week and awaiting its arrival. You may remember on my previous post about the NSALE, I said to not buy this denim jacket since the discounted price is similar to the retail price at the Levi’s store. HOWEVER, the wash is so good that it is worth the $85 price tag is still a steal. Do you agree?

I’m also loving these Lunya silk pj’s and Cle de peau skin set that’s an obvious score with so many high end pieces.

I lost access to my main Instagram account

First of all, I’m SO grateful for you all. I have cried numerous times just reading your reposts tagging IG and my account. You are amazing!! And you make me so grateful!!! I am thankful you are here and that we have a newsletter community. 

What happened?

My main instagram page @shalicenoel got suspended!! This is one of my top nightmares. Two days ago, I posted a follower’s review of some sandals that “looked like designer” and Instagram told me that my story violated community guidelines and took my whole account down.

At first I was confused, then tried again, then later freaked out. I appealed and went as far as I could until I knew I had to find a contact at Meta to ever recover my account. There are so many bots when trying to get a hold of someone to help, that it was clear that I needed a connection with an employee at meta.

Thankfully, I’m working with a couple key people to get it back up and running. It is nothing short of heartbreaking as I it took me 10 years to build my account following of 186,000. I miss the community I created in my DM’s. I miss our chats!

Reid usually can’t accompany me to the Nordstrom Anniversary sale, so he usually goes on line and finds a bunch of things that he likes. Let me interject, that he is SO good at picking out the edgy chic men’s selection. I love this jacket that he chose and AG pants, which are uber flattering.

I had a blast shopping the NSALE this week. Lots of good deals and great find. I’m lazy when it comes to getting into the gym, so any motivation to workout, I’ll take it. I found some cute bike shorts, tank and cardigan to hit the gym in style.Just the motivation I needed!

What I don’t think is worth it in the NSALE

Every year when I shop the NSALE, I tell people that there is a strategy to the sale. Don’t just buy something because it is on sale. Think investment buys and wardrobe builders. The below however, didn’t seem worth it. Do you agree?

It’s there every year in the same driftwood color, I’m over it. And at this point, you should already have one.

The Versace watch is over the top, and not a classic choice IMO.

the Levi’s denim jacket. It’s the same price as in store, so if you need one, get it but don’t stress because it’s not much of a discount.
