This skirt combines some of my favorite trends right now: metallic and pleats. I love how it moves and metallic is a closet-must have. I love it paired with black and a blush heel. Get it now before New Years Eve festivities begin. Also, see how I styled this metallic ombré dress here. Happy Thursday!

For weeks now, I’ve been eying these boots. Recently, I welcomed them into my closet and styled them with my go-to sweater dress. Just in time for the chilly 50 degree weather. So COZY. Eighty percent cashmere for 55 degree weather. Yes, please.

I’m loving all knits this season and here are a round up of my top 5 favorite! Oversize and chunky knit are a must. Even in SoCal, we’re experiencing a chilly December, dare I say a real Winter? I’m loving oversize sweaters with jeans, and leggings. Stay cozy, and don’t forget my shop page is open 24/7.

5 Sweaters I’m Loving:

Rosemary Citrus Spritzer

2 lemons/2 oranges
4 (4-inch) sprigs fresh rosemary
3/4 cups sugar
1/4 cup honey
Ice
Soda water
Rosemary and lemon for garnish (optional)

Peel off thick strips of zest from 1 lemon.

Juice the lemons and oranges into a liquid measuring cup – you should have about 1 cup of juice. Top off with water if necessary to make 1 cup. Combine zest, juice, rosemary, sugar, and honey in a saucepan over medium heat. Boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly to dissolve the sugars. Remove from heat and let sit 10 minutes. Strain, discard solids, and let syrup cool completely. To serve, fill an 8-ounce glass halfway with ice cubes, add 2-3 tablespoons syrup, fill with soda water, and stir. Garnish with rosemary sprigs and/or lemon slices, if desired.

Lavender Mocktail

Ice

3 ounces fresh grapefruit juice

3/4 ounce Lavender Syrup

2 ounces chilled club soda

1 basil sprig

1 fresh lavender sprig (optional)

1/4 ounce grenadine, preferably homemade

Pomegranate Mocktail

2 cups pomegranate juice

2 cups ice cubes, or more if needed

2 tbsp fresh lime juice

1 tbsp orange blossom water

Sweetener to taste

Whether you’re hosting or attending, I’m loving a refreshing mocktail after a busy day. And how great is this bar cart? I’m having fun styling it for the holidays and can’t wait to host more parties in 2017 at our place. Look for more home posts! Hope you all had a restful weekend. xx

I partnered with Nordstrom to share some holiday outfit inspiration, minus the ugly sweater. I’m currently loving this ruffle bodysuit (great sizing), faux fur and a pop of red clutch. Nordstrom has been offering some awesome faux fur options for the holiday season from cobalt to brown. Despite being faux, their jackets look like real fur and it bumps up the chic level for almost any outfit. For example, I would also would wear it over this slip dress. So chic.

Don’t forget there’s in-store pick up for those days you’re running behind. Oh wait, that’s everyday. There’s nothing better than picking up a bag of goodies already paid for, no lines, and no worries. It’s been a busy week with family in town, so I will try out the Nordstrom pick -up option, bring one of my kids, get hot chocolate and call it a date! Hope you have a lovely weekend.

This is what I wore to the Vince Camuto party Tuesday night and basically what I could wear everyday here in LA: sleeveless turtleneck, light jacket and jeans. Also, how cute is this clutch? Fits the important stuff: like my keys and credit cards. Don’t forget to check my updated shop page. Happy Thursday!

While heading to the Four Seasons Westlake for their 5th annual Let it Snow event, we did not know what to expect other than pictures with Santa and a train ride. Since moving from Chicago last December, this Christmas marks our first one sans family and the beginning of a new chapter and new traditions. And the Four Seasons is a great place to start. After checking in, a super friendly staff offered us champagne and cake pops before taking us up to our gorgeous suite. Because of our large family, we had a beautiful corner king suite with a pull out couch, king room, and foyer. (And yes, despite all that room, we still needed a bed rolled in for the littlest.) Probably my favorite part of our stay-cation at the Four Seasons Westlake Let it Snow event, besides the awesome breakfast burritos, was how much they catered to each child and made them feel so special. From stuffed animal Sven dolls stuffed into mini white robes, four brownie cakes delivered to our room with the words “welcome” written on them, and breakfast with the Disney characters (hello Charlie Brown and Elsa!) to the awesome kids buffet piled with teddy bears, strawberry milk and fresh waffles, all at the perfect kid height might I add, no detail was forgotten.  If we needed anything, their staff was alert and very friendly. While not all cities like Los Angeles are kid friendly (or cater to children, let alone four of them), Four Seasons Westlake exceeded our expectations. The kids response to our departure was, “Can we do this every weekend?”

I partnered with Nordstrom, sharing some versatile pieces I’m loving now. Namely, these faux leather leggings on major repeat! Some of my favorite purchases are the most simple: an oversize sweater (under $50),  faux leather leggings (only $29), and an investment accessory: Burberry plaid scarf. I like the latter draped or loosely knotted in front. I love having options. Thankfully, Nordstrom is a one-stop shop with so many gorgeous sweaters, scarves and leggings for every price point. Not to mention, amazing customer service. I just wish I had more cold weather days to don all the sweaters, because I could wear this every day. Shop the exact look below:

My Portuguese Granny was a lady with impeccable style and amazing taste in jewelry. My gold and turquoise ring that has become my signature piece was hers. After “borrowing” the ring in my teenage years, my mom gave me the ring when I started college; I have seldom taken it off since.  It goes with everything and I can’t tell you how many times I’m asked, “Where can I get that ring?” The ring of course is 70+ years old, and who knows where my Granny got it. She was Portuguese, but lived in Hong Kong and traveled extensively. So of course I’m always on the look out for something similar in design and character.

Then I saw a Jane Pope piece at a Shopburu party during NYFW. I saw somebody wearing a turquoise ring that caught my eye. After meeting her and seeing more of her designs, it was obvious why her designs are carried at Barney’s New York and featured in Elle and Glamour Magazine. Jane creates custom pieces, but also has a line of gorgeous pieces ready-made. And she carries this exact turquoise ring I’m wearing. I love her quality pieces and I’m so excited to share them with you! Read more about her story here.

Thank you Jane Pope Jewelry for partnering on this post!
