One of my favorite things to do lately although it sounds strange, is be alone. I have so much noise going on around me from emails, to phone alerts, to yes, children screaming, to conference calls, etc, so a coffee break alone is sacred. While I’d like to say I’m menu planning here for the week, I’m not, lately I’ve been catching up on emails and planning some really fun content for you guys in the months to come. Meanwhile, this booties are from the Italian Giusti sisters hailing from the lovely land of Italy called AGL shoes and I’m pretty sure I will wear them dressed up or down and mainly just VERY often because I’m obsessed. Perfect boot for rips and knits. I also included below some great rag & bone jeans (the brand I’m wearing) on sale! Ok, back to my mocha.

Happy Thursday 😉

When the temps dip, I my favorite thing to reach for (besides fur-lined slides) is a cozy knit. While every sweater promises to be the coziest, I’ve edited them down to a handful I’ve worn and love. Meanwhile, still waiting on that cozy weather here in SoCal.

I’m also sharing some faves to accompany the sweater like cute leather pants and grey boots. Even though the temps say 86, I’m still reaching for hot drinks and feeling cozy indoors reading books with my kids on the couch. Happy Fall!

Sweaters make are some of my favorite looks. What is your favorite cozy look?

Embroidered Skirts, Etc

Nothing gets me more excited than embroidery, ok maybe ginger kombucha, pointy flats, happy kids holding lollipops and fitting in my skinny jeans. Besides that, embroidery! Blame it on my Portuguese roots and those darn cute Portuguese costumes my mom had lying around the house. This one from Zara takes the cake, but I’m also sharing a couple faves. Take notes on this trend, it has some staying power AND the ability to match with your gray OTK boots from last year. Now that’s a keeper.

I had the opportunity to drive around Los Angeles in a Mercedes AMG convertible with a driver from Germany and photographer. I won’t lie, it wasn’t my worst job and I spent the day smiling (despite the LA traffic) with my hair blowing in the wind. Our goal was to visit as many LA hotspots as possible in this beautiful ocean blue Mercedes AMG convertible. Who knew LA had so many instagrammable spots? Actually you probably guessed it is FULL of photogenic hotspots, but we only had half a day, so I included 4 below. What are some of your favorites? I’d love to hear.

Pink Cashmere

It’s crazy to think living in LA, but few things I love to wear more than anything is a comfy sweater. This one is cashmere, pink and a gorgeous v-neck. I love it with jeans or dressed up with trousers. Nordstrom carries an awesome assortment of choice rag & bone pieces beyond this awesome knit. What to look for you ask? I’m loving their tweed, gorgeous jeans (read more here), booties, and of course cashmere. I’ve gotten countless compliments on this sweater both for its shade of pink and oversize fit – perfect over jeans for that I rolled-out-of-bed-and-headed-to-brunch-kinda-chic. The look that we all secretly want, right? As for styling tips, I paired it with blush heels and clear aviators. Have you seen their sweatpants? Hello weekend chic. What’s your go-to comfy look?

Thank you Nordstrom for sponsoring this post!

You know those times when you find a cute top and you create the outfit around it? Well, I found it. I created this comfy outfit around this gorgeous ruffle detail, easy flats, jeans, and a cute small bag. Simple is best. When asked can I wear lace into fall, I always answer yes! It’s full of drama and detail that look awesome paired with masculine faux leather leggings, leather jacket, OTK boots, and of course skinny jeans. Basically, do not store the lace for next summer, you’d be surprised how cute it will look for fall.

Happy Humpday! Today I’m sharing 5 Fall favorites minus the pumpkin spice latte. I’m thinking low boots, faux fur details, and classic plaid. Can’t you just hear the leaves crunching beneath your boots? I’m a fan.

Also, loving these jeans for the fit and distressed details to be worn with this sweater or this sweater. It’s good to have a pair that seems to get better with time. What is your Fall go to?

Few outfits are easier to put on than a wrap dress. Especially on vacation. This week has been slower, more (actual face) time and lots of gathering around food and friends. We rented a house on VRBO.com in Dana Point, with friends from Chicago. It wasn’t easy but we found one that slept 12, yes 12 people! Even though that is a large amount of people, the house had two levels and the beautiful kitchen was ultimately what sold me. I mean, I need that huge fridge at home.  On this particular day trip, we visited Lido at Newport Beach and had lunch at Zinquè. We had our fill of almond milk mochas and breakfast sandwiches. Yum! I had no idea the awesome shopping to be had there, but leave it to our littles to cut the shopping time short with their cute voices begging “when are we going to the beach!?” We quickly packed into the cars and headed to Cliff Ave beach in Laguna. A hidden gem I wouldn’t be a friend if I didn’t share. It was all in all a beautiful day with friends, not laboring but enjoying the fruit of our labor with the friends we call family. What did you do?

Here’s what I wore to WHO WHAT WEAR’s fall preview in Hollywood. I may be partial, but they put on the best parties! I’m also partial to a pop of red (which you already knew if you’re following me on insta). This whole outfit is budget friendly, for instance my pants are $35! What are you up to this weekend? We’re excited to spend the long holiday at the beach with dear friends from Chicago. Can’t wait! Be sure to stop and savor this time with our loved ones.

With Labor Day weekend fast approaching, here’s a simple what to wear guide. For starters, I would start with a bold bodysuit, flare jeans, statement earrings, and nude heels. I have a busy weekend planned (as it is also hubby’s birthday and friends are coming into town) so staying up late outfit planning is out of the question. If you follow these simple steps, your outfit should look balanced, comfy and chic whether you’re planning a low-key BBQ, day at the lake or cross-country adventure. As for us, we’re renting a place by Newport Beach and we can’t wait to show you. In the meantime, here are some statement earrings, bodysuits and flare jeans hand-picked by moi. As a reminder, my shop page is always open 24/7.

What are some tops under $50?

What kind of bodysuit do I wear you ask? Here are some of my faves for every budget.

FYI The one I’m wearing is under $100.

Flare jeans are back with a vengeance.

Anyone else super stoked they kept their high school 7FAM jeans? I surely am.

Statement earrings are so hot this season, I couldn’t help but dive into this trend.

Tip: wear your hair up in a messy bun, skip the necklace and wear BIG earrings. It makes any plain white tee shine.
