When asked what I want for Mother’s Day, nothing really, maybe no cooking and a beach picnic? My kids usually give me chocolate and make the best homemade cards. What more could a girl want? HOWEVER, if hard pressed, I can find a couple goodies for the house and personal care itms like a silk pillowcase and lashboost that are necessities in my book. Let me know what you think!

1. Planter I need a couple more of these for the cabin, love!

2. Pillowcase I sleep on this every night and so should you! Its better for your face (less wrinkles) and hair. Yes, get it!
3. My Most asked about ring I love a pop of turquoise, and this one is pretty similar to my Granny’s ring and under $150
4. Long Soft Cardigan (its on sale!) I cannot wait to wear this over denim shorts, skirts, and everything in between. Especially for chilly nights at the cabin.
5.Gucci bag – love this rose color
6. Bamboo Bath Caddy Can’t wait to prop up my tea, chocolate and light reading on this baby. If you know me, you know, baths are my favorite!
7. Lash Boost It took me about 8 weeks to see results but not I’m hooked. I used to spend lots of time (and money) on 2 hr lash extension appointments, but now instead I apply LB on my lashes and brows at night. Natural growth has been the easiest to maintain and I like the fullness.
Honorable mention: HU Chocolate. I can’t get enough of their hazelnut butter one, so good! New Pj’s are never overrated, and these $39 Birks are life! So comfy and I tend to wear them all over the house.

If I’m being honest, it’s really difficult to set up and execute individual dates with my children. Especially when you have more than one, the effort to single one out for one-on-one time and find a sitter for the other three and manage it all can be a challenge. Of course it’s worth it though, and when it does work out, I value the time so much. I have no idea how, but I was recently able to have one of these dates with my oldest daughter and it just felt so special.

On this particular morning (key time for my kids, as they’re happiest in the morning!), we visited a local coffee shop—Maru Coffee—and my 8 year old ordered her usual chocolate croissant and me, a matcha latte. We talked about how she is, I asked her if I could improve anything, and I tried to get her to share her chocolate croissant, keyword—tried! I’m always shocked how a little, and I mean like 20-30 minutes, of face time (the kind without the screen) bears so much fruit. She was noticeably happier throughout the day after she and I had that alone time together. She was heard and we bonded—something that’s so important for moms and daughters.

I kept telling her how cute my hat looked on her! I just adore her sporty chic personal style, which is one thing I encourage my children to express. Like today, I picked out the dress she wore, however, she chose the silver shoes, white hat, and you may not see it, but a turquoise necklace. I try and give my kids the opportunity to be creative when they dress instead of controlling all the details. Any seasoned mother would tell you, you pick your battles, right? I continue to encourage her (and all my kids) to express her style in the way she dresses, the sports she chooses, instruments to play, etc. I want her to know that the most important thing is to just always be true to herself.

Mother’s Day is one of my favorite holidays. Of course partly because I’m a mom and I love having my kids to celebrate with, but I also just think it’s important to thank and recognize the women in our lives who helped mold us into who we are. One of the ways I like to share this love with my own mom is by sending flowers. Flowers just do something to the heart that few other gifts can.
This year I decided to try 1-800 Flowers and I was shocked at the flower quality and selection for every price point. I live far away from my mom, so it’s important that I can send her some flowers to let her know I’m thankful for all she’s done for me—everything I appreciate now that I’m a mom.
That said, if you’re looking for a way to send flowers across the country or even just across town, I highly recommend checking out 1-800 Flowers. No matter what your budget is, I guarantee you’ll be able to find something your mom loves!

Click here and enter promo code 25MOM at checkout, to receive 25% off from 5/8-5/10.

Happy Mother’s Day to those who have moms, are mom’s and future mom’s, I celebrate you <3

denim shorts and similar// balloon sleeve blouse and similar // sunglasses // trench // wedge sandals // leopard clutch

I feel like I’m way too old to be wearing tiny shorts so I’ve been looking for longer distressed shorts. Here I’m wearing some faves from FRAME and also wearing some longer version, because I’m not in college anymore. I love how denim shorts are terribly versatile. Here they are dressed up with wedges, a blouse and a trench or dressed down with a swimsuit and flip flops for the beach. I feel like they’re a great investment for any spring or summer wardrobe, so get your favorites now before they’re gone. Speaking of back in stock, my blouse is back in stock!

wrap dress under $50! Fits TTS I’m wearing a small // sandals // jacket // sunglasses // necklace similar //

The season of dresses all day, every day is upon us! And let me tell you, that is amazing news for someone with a growing bump (although none of these options are maternity, which makes them even better!). I love this time of year because all my favorite brands are releasing their new dresses for summer, so the time to stock up is now!
Today I’ve rounded up some of my favorites for you guys so you’ll be ready for all the summer weddings and brunch dates on restaurant patios. Of course there’s plenty of floral options because who doesn’t love floral for spring and summer? I’m also a big fan of the wrap dress, so I’ve included that style as well. I find that it’s just really flattering on any body type.
The best part of this roundup? They’re all under $50! No need to feel guilty for this mini little shopping spree! The price point is super wallet friendly and saves enough for that beach vacation. 😉

I don’t know about you, but I love a good selfie. I don’t always need the photo taken with the big camera to appreciate an outfit. I like styling pieces on the go, and as you know, my life, like yours, is very much ON the GO! I was happy to find long distressed shorts to wear this summer with a bella band, a wrap dress under $50, flattering black jeans and lots of irresistible shoes! I thought I’d share them here too on the blog. As always my shop page is open 24/7, you can follow me on the LiketoKnow.it App, and ask any questions. Happy Tuesday!

Sundays are usually crazy busy, and if you’re like us, we try and squeeze every last minute out of Sundays. After church we eat a quick lunch at home followed by soccer, clean the house, get ready for the week and a popcorn and ice cream dinner. I know, so healthy. But speaking of healthy, I just started using a jade roller (it de-puffs under your eyes, leave it in the freezer for best results) and ordered a new prenatal. I’m also starting a new workout so let me know if you’d like to see more! In the meantime, my dress was restocked in size small so hurry up if that’s your size, and as an fyi that’s the size I’m wearing here! Also if you’re looking for some under $60 sandals for summer, these come in tan and black and they’re worth getting both colors like I did.

This is probably my favorite time of year. Even in California where we have year-round warm weather, everything just feels fresh and fun. It’s the perfect time to clean out your closet and add a few new spring-inspired dresses. There are so many colorful options available around Easter that it’s hard to pick just one, so I’ve pulled together five of my must-haves. One of my absolute favorites, though, is this yellow number.
First, the color yellow just screams spring and perfect for a wedding. If you’re debating between another color and yellow, I’d definitely go the colorful route this time around. Another color that’s super trendy right now is lavender, so that’s a great choice as well. Back to the yellow dress, though. Not only is the color spot on, the floral design and ruffled sleeves are the perfect details. Can you ever really go wrong with florals and ruffles for spring? I don’t think so.

You can spice up your dress even more, no matter the style or color, with some eye-catching accessories like this fun, round straw bag (another HUGE trend) and some cute pumps or espadrilles wedges. Now you’re set with an amazing wedding look and dresses that will take you all the way through spring and into summer!

5 Most Flattering Flares

I, like anyone, have made my way through all the denim trends out there. From ripped, boyfriend, skinny, wide leg, boot cut, cropped and the like—I’ve worn them all! It seems like every month there’s a new “it” cut to try and I’m always game to give it a go.

But despite all the changing trends and piles of denim in my office, which, do you ask is my fave? FLARES. Hands down. I can’t get enough. I always, no matter what the brand, seem to feel at home in a good pair of flare jeans. I know denim isn’t everyone’s idea of comfort, but I think a lot of us have that one pair of jeans in our closets that we always just feel good in.

Because I’m such a flare fanatic, I rounded up some of my faves that also happen to be the most flattering—just ask some of my petite friends who also tried these styles. Win! I love the ones I’m wearing for the unusual stitching and wide leg flare, but I wanna know, which are your favorite?

Last weekend I spent with Rewardstyle! I have been with them since their inception, and if you’re not already familiar, this company has changed the fashion world! One of the highlights was, I was able to talk to my insta friend, fellow mom and multiple business owner Amber Venz-Box. We talked about her new venture “cherry” the downloadable app that allows you to order a mani pedi from your phone and they come to you. YES, I tried this service and LOVED it! Feels luxe when you can get a manicure and pedicure in your pj’s! Besides taking advantage of the great opportunity to network with fellow bloggers, I also attended for the seminars on how to best integrate home content into my blog and social channels. As most of you know, we are in the thick of renovating our the Lake Arrowhead house, and will be shortly furnishing it! I can’t wait to implement what I learned from this packed weekend! What do you guys think? I always value your opinion.

Tips for Travel to Dallas

Where did you stay?

Hotel Crescent Court

Huge hotel and lots of amenities, service was a wee bit slow but it was during a large conference so delays expected.

Friends of mine also stayed at the Adolphus and loved it.

Where did you eat?

+ We at ShinSei for sushi, thankfully they had a good variety of vegetarian dishes as well.

+ The Concierge is your best friend. We asked for healthy vegetarian food and we were told to go to NORA, mediterranean cuisine that knocked it out of the park.

Also recommended to me but I didn’t have time to try:

Sixty Vines, Honor Bar, Royal Blue Coffee, Mi Cocina, Bird Bakery, and Dolce Riviera

What to do for fun?

+ Go Biking! Our hotel had bikes – use them! Did you know on average, you can burn up to 450 calories just biking 5 miles?

+ Get Coffee

+ Go visit the Dallas Arboretum

+ Shop at the Dallas Galleria

As always, my shop page is open 24/7 (including home products I’m shopping for currently) and don’t forget to follow me on the LiketoKnow.it App where I’m posting exclusive content.

Now, off to take my kids to the park because its truly feels like Spring.

Happy Monday!
