I always believe you look your best when you’re wearing what makes you feel beautiful. That doesn’t mean wearing those silk jogging pants with a stiletto heel because you saw someone in Harper’s Bazaar rocking it. It means maybe those jeans that push the envelope, or breaking up your go-to, all-black ensemble with pops of yellow. Because it’s interesting. Because you feel like you could be in Harper’s when you wear it. Looking your best is not about trying to emulate that Harper’s Bazaar Who’s Who in the silk joggers, but about wearing denim flares because that’s what makes you feel good. Too often people try to emulate a style that’s not their own. Listen to your natural bend, your best attributes, etc. For example, because I have large shoulders, I stay away from certain puff and ruffled sleeves. And I’ve learned what I look best in and feel best in. Sometimes that’s a puffy neon skirt or flares as big as my head. Whatever works.
