{home} My Green Goddess Breakfast

by Shalice Noel

Love these bowls and plates from ANTHROPOLOGIE

I’m often asked, How do you start your day? What’s your favorite breakfast? This is actually a really easy question to answer as I’ve had the same thing every morning for months. My kids like it, too, and none of us are sick of it  . . .  yet. I prep the night before with bananas on the brink of getting brown and fresh pineapple. Both I cut, place into ziploc bags, and freeze to make things easier.
C‘est voilá.
1 frozen banana
1 cup of frozen pineapple
1/2 clove garlic
1 tablespoon ginger
1 cup coconut water, or just water
A couple leaves of kale, collard greens, or chard
Place in a Vitamix or blender till smooth and enjoy.

Just about to go grocery shopping so this is timely! Do you chop the ginger first or just throw in a nub? Also, would you give this to a 10 month old or do you find it pretty acidic? Thanks!

hi! I just throw in a nub 🙂 I would give him/her a little and see how they take it.
My 2 year old loves it the most, but all kids are different. Hope that helps xx

Can't wait to try it! Aaaaand, you can't detect the garlic? Great little immune booster though, eh?
