Spanx leggings in small // Beverly Hills Sweatshirt in medium // High tops // Camel coat //

It’s no surprise, leggings are a girls best friend. You can look like you’re fresh off hot yoga without leaving the carpool line. I love how these Spanx faux leather leggings suck you in like the lululemon wunder under leggings. I’m a fan. I also love the touch of faux leather. Did I mention that this is a VERY comfy outfit? Perfect post furniture shopping. We went to RH outlet and I had to hold Reid back from buying the whole store. We left with a modest receipt of $180, thanks to $60 a panel curtains. We ended with a veggie bowl at chipotle and a long ride home to discuss our need for curtain rods and what not. Don’t forget to SUBSCRIBE to my newsletter, full of home inspiration!

How’s your week going?

I never wanna stay in sweats all day said no one ever! I found a way to still feel super comfy but up the chic factor. I recently found sounds comfy sweatshirts and I love it paired with flared jeans! To make the whole ensemble feel chic and pulled together, I added a hat and floral platform heels. The latter of which I don’t wear when I’m running the kids around, to be honest, I wear pink sneakers daily!

I love how LA designers Lauren Alexander and April Leight keep re-thinking cozy basics. The t-shirt gets an upgrade with a fresh cutout. It’s a modern cut coupled with a cozy fabric. Which is your favorite?

LA has been feeling a lot like NYC lately and I’m not complaining. The days are cool-ish, slightly overcast, and oh-so-cozy. I’ll take any excuse to layer – preferably with a sweatshirt dress and leather jacket. Both of which work for date night. I’m all about an effortless (i.e. 5 minute) look because life is busy and once that sitter is through the door, so am I. I know I said “cozy” … but definitely try and stay away from the Christmas print flannels and oversize college sweatshirts. Instead, it’s all about balancing luxe details (like a leather jacket) with cozy basics (like this sweatshirt pullover) that fit and feel perfect.
