This year marked our first year in California, and we love it. I can honestly say, we just now feel like we’re settled. This year also marked some awesome brand collaborations. I can’t wait to proceed into my 4th year of blogging. See a hint of what we have planned for 2017:

38 degree mornings in Los Angeles call for LAYERS. Someone stop me, I cannot get enough scarves and fuzzy sweaters. I love how a good OTK boot elevates this look from cozy to chic. For date night, I can easily swap out the blue jeans for a chic black leatherette pant and black sweater. Because nothing says date night like all black and the chicest of accessories. To be honest, when it comes to ponchos, I haven’t always been a fan. They’re either oversized, the wrong print, or miss-styled. However, there are a few worth sharing here. I’m loving this camel print from FRYE, the color block of this TULEROSA poncho and yes I found this one  under $30. And I’m secretly hoping this cooler LA winter sticks around so I can sport this $50 cape too. Our morning started with puff pancakes (see the recipe here), a little Boxing day shopping, then packing for our trip to the mountains. Hope your Monday is wonderful!

Ramp up your basics with a camel coat (3/4 sleeve), and updated heels. I’m loving these slouchy jeans and cashmere sweater both from Vince. I tend to gravitate towards classic pieces, like a stripe top and flattering jeans, because I’ll probably wear them more than I’d like to admit, and they never go out of style.
