Above most outfits, I love layers. A good tank with a stripe button down or cardigan is my jam. These two weeks, I’ve been dropping off and picking up kids from soccer camp, so I haven’t had a ton of time to overthink what I’m wearing. Don’t get me wrong, I’m loving having the kids home and these lazy dog days of summer. We just hung out in my daughter’s room last night and chatting – all four of them. It really felt like a lazy summer which I love. So an oversize tank, fave rips, and optional layering in the AC it is. We’re dropping off the kids at VBS and going to get pho. Can’t wait. It’s not right to wear black, or white, or creme to a wedding, you’re left with the question, what do you wear? Your friend may take it the wrong way if you’re competing with her white or you may look sad in black, however a set with multi colors and a blush heel seems to satisfy both crowds, the wedding party and yourself. I fell IN LOVE with these complementary colors and you will too. Though it works for a wedding, it can also do for date night, girls lunch, or a school fundraiser. It fits true to size, and for once, hubby loved my choice. I can’t wait to wear it to our friend’s wedding in September or next weekend. What’s your favorite weekend attire?

Lace dresses are such show stoppers in themselves you hardly need to stress over accessorizing them. Just add a cool hat, sunglasses and a colorful sandal. I chose blush sandal heels here but you can give them a sporty look with sneakers.

Farmer’s Market Outfit

Me and my friend Tasha went to the flower market and must have been an orange mood because we picked out all the orange flowers with the exception of eucalyptus. It was an invigorating morning seeing all the beautiful bunches of flowers and closely followed by double shot lattes. A must. Date night is usually pretty low key, food, coffee, and a long walk so comfy booties are a must. Reid actually picked out this outfit which is pretty sweet. I feel like as much as I like to style myself and others, I like him to like what I’m wearing. So, I like this dress even more because he likes me in it. Make sense? Major plus, this whole outfit is on sale from the boots to the jewelry.

How is your weekend? We had a last minute date Friday night and it was d-i-v-i-n-e. Date night is often running errands for us so I almost always wear jeans with the exception of some dresses I’ve shown here before. This top immediately caught my eye because of the ruffles and one shoulder design. I paired it with color block heels you have seen before on my instagram because they are so versatile. Stay tuned, as we’re headed somewhere fun tomorrow!
