Polka Dots Under $100 with Nordstrom

We have a busy season coming up with summer ending and school right around the corning.  So this is the time to put on our favorite OOTD and hit the Art’s District for a leisurely walk around one of the most inspiring areas of Los Angeles.  The area is thriving with old warehouses, murals and creative/fashionable people everywhere.  I can’t help but leave with fresh new ideas I can’t wait to explore in my own closet.  Fully inspired, I headed to Nordstrom looking for that pre labor day dress that was cute, but edgy.  Polka dots are unapologetically bold and cute any season.  The dress I’m wearing can be dressed up with heels for a meeting DTLA or dressed down with sneakers for an ice cream date in Pasadena. I also found this polka dot skirt (under $100!).

As for Nordstrom, well, who doesn’t love Nordstrom? Their customer service is five-star, and I seriously think that (along with their amazing merchandise selection) is what sets them apart from most retailers. I often go to Nordstrom with kids and a tight schedule and I’m always given the best service and the most options while my kids love getting balloons in the shoe department every. single. time. Whether I make it to the store or shop online, Nordstrom is my go-to for daily fashion and really should be for any busy mom on the go. I mean, I prefer dot com just to avoid the dressing room tantrums and constant “can we go” requests, but curb side service also works. All in all, Nordstrom makes it easy to get what you want, when you want it. So go find you some polka dots!

Above most outfits, I love layers. A good tank with a stripe button down or cardigan is my jam. These two weeks, I’ve been dropping off and picking up kids from soccer camp, so I haven’t had a ton of time to overthink what I’m wearing. Don’t get me wrong, I’m loving having the kids home and these lazy dog days of summer. We just hung out in my daughter’s room last night and chatting – all four of them. It really felt like a lazy summer which I love. So an oversize tank, fave rips, and optional layering in the AC it is. We’re dropping off the kids at VBS and going to get pho. Can’t wait. Public Access: Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

Today is the first day of public access for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. What that means is you don’t have to be a card holder to shop the sale, yay! Don’t worry, there are still really good items up for grabs but I wouldn’t delay if you have your eye on something to get your desired size. You can still get points if you’re a rewards member. I just include my phone number to still gain points without using my Nordstrom Credit Card. For instance, hubby just asked me to add this to my cart (because I can’t resist him in a henley), glow-in-the-dark pajamas for the kids, and I fell for these, one can’t have enough pj’s right? Date night is usually pretty low key, food, coffee, and a long walk so comfy booties are a must. Reid actually picked out this outfit which is pretty sweet. I feel like as much as I like to style myself and others, I like him to like what I’m wearing. So, I like this dress even more because he likes me in it. Make sense? Major plus, this whole outfit is on sale from the boots to the jewelry.

A Bodysuit Under $40

This top is super flattering, fits true to size and great for girls who are not heavy on the chest like myself. Thankfully, this chic bodysuit gives me the shape I need and I like it paired with simple jeans with split hem detail. Speaking of, the hem features my pink flats so well and I can pair this with a cardigan when it gets chilly at night. The best part? The bodysuit on a budget is $38, and well worth a try if you’re a newcomer to the bodysuit arena.
