Levi is only a week here so you can bet I am gravitating towards classic pieces that are still flattering in this postpartum phrase. I love that Nordstrom carries some awesome basics like this $12 black tank I have in white as well.  Style tip, when you find something good, you buy in bulk! Speaking of good, this hat is great for bad hair days, chic combat boots, and we can’t forget flattering jeans all shown here. All of which I find at Nordstrom at competitive prices (they price match!) mom-friendly perks (hello curbside pick-up) and Nordy Club, so I can still earn points for every purchase. My Favorite Gray Classics from Nordstrom

Gray boots are the first and favorite things to bust out at the first day of fall. They’re flattering and crazy versatile. I try and buy a new pair at the beginning of the season so I ensure I get my size 9!

Those following me for a while know I love a versatile gray dress and this one is NO EXCEPTION. I wear it dressed up or down and the tulip hem is crazy flattering! See some more of my faves:

Leopard Scarves are some of the best subtle ways to get a lot of pop for the price. Many of them are under $30, and I love them styled tied onto a purse.

I love how a gray bag is the cherry on top of a chic gray monochrome look.

Nordstrom never disappoints. From their stellar customer service, awesome online selection, and quick shipment options (hello curbside pick-up), it’s hard not to pick favorites. Since I’m due to welcome baby boy any day now, I opted for a fitted and flattering dress I’ve had on repeat. Do you ever put together matching outfits for you and your kids? I love doing this with my girls! They probably won’t let me do it forever so I have to enjoy it while I can, right? Ha! Nordstrom is where I go to find matching booties for the three of us. It’s so convenient—have I mentioned the curbside pickup for online orders? I’m just so obsessed with it.
I like to think my girls (and the boys too) are pretty fashion forward but are also just like any kids and like to run around outside and be tough on their clothes. Anything I pick up at Nordstrom Kids always lasts and keeps them looking stylish too. And yes, I let her borrow my Gucci bag. I can’t shame her for her good taste. 😉

My Top 4 Picks from Chriselle Lim’s Collection at Nordstrom

Happy Weekend! I’m loving this sweater dress – especially the shoulder button details. Style tip, this dress can also be worn off the shoulder, yay! 

  1. BELTED COAT – for its shape and color. Hello versatility!
  2. BUTTON FRONT SKIRT – love the asymmetrical design styled with booties
  3. HOUNDSTOOTH BLAZER hello fall must-have! Notice the modern piping detail for work to play chic.
  4. RUCHED SWEATER TBH this was the most interesting part of the collection. While I’m not usually a fan of baring the midriff, however, a peek of the mid section paired with chic high waisted trousers or a pencil skirt feels ever so fresh for fall.

How do I find outfits for my kids? I focus on quality fabrics, patterns and clothes they will actually wear and love. When I see them get excited about a shirt or a cool pair of shoes, that’s when I know I’ve found something they not only like, but they’ll actually wear! And yes, it’s all found at Nordstrom!

The moment my oldest saw this cape, she exclaimed, “This would be great for Lake Arrowhead!” And I agree. It’s super soft and perfect for chilly early mornings and late nights. We love it up there. Likewise, my son loves his sweatshirt and especially his new sneakers. He won’t stop wearing them! Kind of like his obsession with his soccer uniform. He wears it so much that hubby and I had to hide it! Anyone else have this happen with a kiddo?

I’m so thankful for Nordstrom curbside pick-up for days when I have to be at soccer practice, art class and tumbling class. Their customer service has won over this busy mama for over a decade. What are some of your Nordstrom faves?

What I’m Buying from Nordstrom Back to School

I’m so excited to partner with Nordstrom Back to School for kids. I’m loving all their laid-back pieces to add to my kids’ wardrobe this fall. I honestly love shopping for their autumn staples just as much as my own and Nordstrom makes it too easy.

Because we spend most weekends in the mountains, I was happy to find a lot of pieces that layer really well! Going from warmer temps in LA to the cooler mountain temps can be a little tricky so I had my oldest pick out a plaid blazer to go over her yellow dress. And yes, I let her borrow my Gucci belt bag. You can’t fault her good taste. The boys’ shoes were sporty and adorable. Now I just wish they knew how to tie their shoes, but let’s reserve that for another blog post shall we? Likewise, the girls loved their boots because they look like mom’s! I wonder how long I will get away with them saying that?
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again—Nordstrom is simply one of my favorites for the kids. With all these adorable back to school options, how can you not want to pick something up for your kiddos?

5 Things I’m Buying from Nordstrom this Month

Nordstrom always seems to nail it. I was looking for an oversize blazer over jeans, and distressed shorts and I found it all online at Nordstrom.com! I was so excited to share it with you. Also, if you’re on the lookout for denim shorts that are a good mom length, these are it! As for the white blazer, I got a small and it fits perfectly over the bum. So flattering. As a disclaimer, with 4 kids and a 36 week belly, I’m no stranger to stains. To be honest, I usually bring a tide stick with me. If you’re as crazy about oversize blazers as I am, this plaid one is equally stunning. Speaking of belly, try this bella band if you’re pregnant and wanting to still wear your pre-pregnancy jeans by covering this clever band over your denim zipper. Genius!

While in Lake Arrowhead last weekend, I wore this blazer over this dress and got tons of compliments. And yes, if you’re wondering, I’m wearing all the white after labor day. No rules ladies. Wear what you like, and if you want to feel EXTRA in white, use this self tanner.

And speaking of basics, Nordstrom has the best options—I’m loving these Gucci loafers, long tunic, flattering jeans, Bella band, and mom-friendly bag slash backpack. Nordstrom is always my go-to for quality basics like these, awesome customer service, and options for curbside pick-up. The latter of which I will probably use when I have a nursing baby!

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Classic Pieces to Invest in at a Discount

My approach to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale this year has been to look at it as shopping strategically. It’s so, so easy to feel overwhelmed, which is why I’ve tried to break things down into categories and think forward for fall and winter. And speaking of fall and winter, there are so many classic investment pieces on sale right now for the upcoming seasons. You know, the things you know your closet needs but always seem a little too pricey to actually buy. Now is definitely the time! Sales can be a fun time to try more trendy items at a discount, but I’m definitely shopping for those classic pieces at a discount.
If you’ve been focusing on trying to create more of a capsule wardrobe, I also can’t suggest enough taking time to sift through the sale. You can snag some great everyday basics for practically any budget. Especially if you’re a mama like me and need to grab some back to school clothes for your kids or even for the guy in your life (I rounded up all of my favorites for the guys here).

Another tip for the mamas out there reading this—curbside pickup. Of course anyone can utilize it and I highly recommend it, but if you’re running around like I am right now trying to prepare for baby number 5, it’s definitely the convenience factor you’ve been looking for.
