Easter is Sunday, and you don’t have a lot of time to prepare, but you want something less than $100? Problem solved. Here, I wore a satin dress, suede trench and blush heels. I kept similar tones together and added a chic trench to add an overall polish. I like the idea of a dress I don’t spend a mini fortune on so I have more of a budget for shoes, a designer bag and not a mini heart attack over a coffee spill. Yes, I’m speaking from experience. I also put this outfit on my shop page, and down below. I mean, how cute is this gingham cold shoulder dress with a belt?

Floral Dress under $30

Nothing says Spring like a dress and florals. Here I dressed up a $29 floral dress with a designer belt, gold accessories and blush trench heels. I love belted dresses for the shape and overall polish. I think we will be seeing lots more florals and blush to come. Now, back to organizing, meal planning, outfit sorting, and list making. Trapeze Dress

I recently stumbled upon the cutest trapeze dress. Its great with gladiators or these hiro heels. Special shout out to the hubs for choosing my shoes for the post. He said the pattern of the shoes matches the pattern on the dress. How’s that for an Architect’s opinion? Love him. I’ll definitely be sporting this swingy dress again to beat this Cali heat.

I usually look for items I can wear over (and over) like this striped blouse (never enough stripes) and these flare pants. Since Los Angeles doesn’t have seasons, I will still manage to find a reason to don these flare pants and layer to my hearts content.Gotta love versatile and easy-to-style pieces! I’m loving this tank from Express’ One Eleven line with super soft modal blend and a built-in choker. So on trend and under $25. Virtually a no-brainer.

After a day of stepping on Lincoln Logs, and what seemed like a million potty breaks with four kids everywhere I took them, it feels great to don a chic LBD. For those of you shopping the Nordstrom Sale, yes its finally public access which means you don’t need to be a Nordstrom card holder to shop. Yay! The dress I’m wearing is from the #Nsale (how great is this neck tie?) See my previous post on some Nordstrom Sale scores. Now, back to enjoying the moments, despite the sore feet.

For those of you shopping the Nordstrom Sale, yes its finally public access which means you don’t need to be a Nordstrom card holder to shop. Yay! Prices go up August 8.

{fashion} Lace for Day dates

Since we’ve been too tired (READ EXHAUSTED) for date night, we planned date morning. So brilliant. We came back re-energized to tackle the hot chocolate mix spilled in the girls closet, the missing gum we got from Costco the other night, and the fights that broke out after the before mentioned missing gum. Hence the day date. What better way to celebrate you and your man getting away for avocado salad and killer oatmeal cookies than in lace, flats and a soft denim jacket? I’m already planning next Saturday’s day date, and maybe squeezing in a little work if the hubs is up to it. Hope you had a lovely weekend!

Since our holiday plans are at a minimum since we’re moving, I like the idea of a $50 dress. It’s not only soft, but boasts a flattering mock-neck turtleneck. Since it’s too cold to sport the sleeveless dress outside, I paired it with my favorite faux-fur collar coat and slouchy boots.
