Happy Monday! Today, I’m sharing a great suit!

One of my sweet readers told me she has a new bank job in a big city and needs some outfit inspiration. While the dress code is stiff, the style doesn’t have to be.

Here’s how I style a suit multiple ways with pops of color and accessories to match.

necklace // camisole (only $25, wearing “light beige” size 4) // bag “mini maestra” // trousers // blazer size 4 in light pastel grey // sunglasses // grey pumps similar

Snakeskin Must-Haves

There are so many good snakeskin accessories on the market right now. From boots to mules to belt bags to trendy tops. It’s hard to navigate what is worth your time. And worth expanding your closet for <cough> sorry hubby! If you’re on the fence, here’s a style tip: wear snakeskin with lots of neutrals. Snakeskin, like leopard, is loud and needs neutrals to mute it. In turn, it stands out in a classy way.
Below are the links to my boots, mules and belt bag I bought for $20! Which is another tip I have when it comes to bold prints like snakeskin or other trends – look for some affordable options! I think snakeskin is kind of classic so investing in a good pair of shoes that you can wear with denim or neutral trousers or an accessory of some kind makes sense too if you ask me. But mostly I like to try and snag bolder items (like the neon trend – anyone else pick up on that too?) at a lower price point.
Have you tried the snakeskin trend? If so, how are you styling it?

For me, a peasant top is a non-negotiable in a girl’s wardrobe. A quality one is hard to find. I like it to be heavy, not too lightweight, a tie, eyelet detail is fun, and THE FIT MUST BE PERFECT. That is non-negotiable. Seem like an impossible task? Well apparently it is not. I found it in this Frame top that is currently on sale at Shopbop. Score!

peasant top // wedgie jeans (mine are a little more worn out) // sandals // sunnies (chloe) // bag c/o Tamara Mellon // earrings (embarrassing, but I wear these every day!) Similar Turquoise Ring and here

This new bag from Tamara Mellon, who originally founded Jimmy Choo, fits my water bottle, wipes, and feels like AMAZING nubby leather. The color here is bone, which I was totally on the fence about. I’ll admit I’m a camel bag junkie and even tried on the camel and black colors. But you know which one won me over? BONE. Love the unusual color to my handbag collection. It can be worn three ways and deep enough to fit a laptop or chipotle burrito. Just kidding. It converts to a tote using the handles, cross body bag or shoulder bag. How cool is that?

I have a new post on the blog today featuring the NUFACE SALE and SHOPBOP SALE, don’t miss it! As always, my shop page is open 24/7 and as always, ask any questions! Here or at shalice@shalicenoel.com. I don’t mind your “hey, where is that from,” quick messages.

Happy two days before FRIDAY!

As you may have heard, Shopbop is having an up to 40% off sale no code needed! Here’s a tip I use: login to your Amazon Prime account and get free two-day shipping. It’s a treat getting your items shipped so fast to your house without an extra fee! I tried styling 3 classic outfits for your to visualize for your next vacation, meeting or date night. Though I personally prefer day dates. Although sales come and go, this one thing is true, YOU DON’T NEED IT ALL TO LOOK PULLED TOGETHER. Simple outfit choices like a simple little black dress (LBD) with a statement cuff and cute sandals is all you need. If it’s a chilly evening, throw on a blazer. Make sense?

1 LBD 2. Flowy Dress 3. Peasant top // 4. Charm bracelet  // 5. Bag – 30% off // 6. Black pants // 7. Flat strappy sandals // 8. Espadrille sandals // 9. Pointy toe

PS. Some of you have been messaging me for details on which NuFace device is my favorite. Honestly, it is hard to pick a favorite! I’m bringing the mini to NYC with me and I use the Body once every evening. Well, today begins a friends and family sale! It goes from 5/22-5/24 and is 20% off site-wide. The Promo code is “F&F20.” I wish I had this sale when I purcahsed the body device. My loss is your GAIN. Let me know what you get!

Follow me on the free Liketoknow.it app for instant details to daily outfits, and my shop page is open 24/7. As always thanks for stopping by and have a great humpday! We’re halfway through the week.

If you read my blog often, you’ve definitely seen me talk about Vince Camuto. It’s hands down one of my favorite brands and I’m always keeping an eye out for new things to add to my closet from them. Their footwear is something I’m especially loving right now. The designs are fashion-forward and most importantly, comfortable! I mean, how cute are these sandals I’m wearing?
Honestly, I’m often on Nordstrom online browsing their shoes and will always stop at a Vince Camuto pair not even knowing its Vince Camuto. Their styles are that good! Maybe it’s their attention to detail, colors and flattering designs that earn their fan base. I must admit I am among them. One of my favorite pairs of booties in my closet is from Vince Camuto. It has a perfect pointy toe!
As far as the outfit I’m wearing, though, it’s so versatile! I love a comfortable jumpsuit – it’s practical for chasing after the kids but also stylish. You can also swap the tie belt for a large wooden buckle option. Plus, a good sandal is priceless in my book. And let’s not forget that nothing says spring like this blush jumpsuit, versatile white blazer and flattering sandals. How cute is this bag? I hope it doesn’t end up with cheerios in it.

Thank you Vince Camuto for sponsoring this post!

Every Monday needs a power suit and I’m loving one in all white. Don’t forget the tide stick. Top it off with on trend snake boots, and a black textured bag. The jeans have a slight flare at the hem, perfect for featuring these cute boots.

Below are some favorites from hair accessories to swim suits for an upcoming trip to Mexico. Which are your favorites?

I recently picked up some goodies at my local Rebecca Minkoff store on Melrose. Friends, I found ALL the things. Namely gorgeous bags (I couldn’t decide on) and chic shoes. Here’s what I was loving:

Teal Feather Earrings (I also love these) // Gold Bracelet(confession: I haven’t taken this off in days) //

Earrings: Lotus in gold – love!

1. Wear statement earrings with your LBD, I always get compliments when I wear them!

2. Knot your favorite white blouse with dark or light skinny jeans.

3. Play with proportion: Wear a trench coat with your favorite cutoffs.

4. Weird weather have you confused about what to wear? Pair a camisole with a cardigan and cutoffs or a maxi skirt.

Some days I overthink an outfit and end up just going back to the basics I know and love like cutoffs and a trench or a statement piece of jewelry like these Kendra Scott earrings.

One thing I love about Kendra Scott is how she merges fashion and philanthropy. She gives back and really practices what she preaches. You can book a “Kendra Gives Back Party” and a portion of the proceeds goes to a charity of your choosing. Isn’t that amazing? I love a brand that makes a quality product and also wants to give back and do good.

Here I’m wearing these gold leaf statement earrings and turquoise feather earrings I find myself grabbing over and over again. Whether you’re headed out for school PTA meetings, a job interview or date night, sometimes you just need an accessory that brings the whole outfit up a notch.

Thank you Kendra Scott for sponsoring this post!

Happy Friday! I thought I would share what a day date with one of my kids usually looks like. Though they can vary according to the child, there are always lots of treats, talking (and sometimes silence), but mostly just a whole lot of meaningful time together. Usually the child who is the most obedient and docile gets most neglected. The squeaky wheel gets the oil, right? That was happening with my oldest who was getting lost in the mix of a busy large family. What is the solution you ask? Intentional day dates.

It takes putting it on the calendar and then doing it! On this particularly sunny day in Pasadena, we went to coffee, she got monkey bread, and we talked. We talked a lot in the car as well but that one on one time was so fruitful. We went on to an event I had that afternoon and got gum on our walk back to the car. It was fun just the two of us. She was hugging me and had a renewed sense of herself and confidence, and I got to reconnect with her and find out how she’s doing with life. It reminded me to do this with all my kids; the second oldest is next!
